A Buss stop in Ontario?

We may have personal rooting interest here . . .

The Lakers are asking the public to help choose a name for their new NBA Development League team.

Yes, the same team that figures to be one of the first tenants at the 8,900-capacity arena Ontario plans to open near Ontario Mills in the summer of 2008.

The Lakers already have narrowed the names to "quarterfinal" status. They include: D-Dogs, D-Fenders, LA Next, LA Sensation, LA Buss and LA Evolution.

Fans may vote online through Wednesday by visiting www.lakers.com. If you don't want the "LA Buss" to be making stops in Ontario the season after next, make your voice heard. Or your computer's voice, anyway.


For those of you who don't know, Jerry Buss purchased his very own D-League team for the Lakers...The options pretty much suck, but I guess I'll go with LA Sensation...LMAO@LA Buss though. That one had me laughin'...PeACe

LOL@LA Buss playing in Canada. Yea, they're playing next season in Staples Center until their arena in Ontario, California is done...

Looks like it's gunna be the "LA Breakers"...LOL. Not as bad as "LA Buss" or "LA D-Dogs", but it sounds corny in a way...Todays the final day to vote, and the votings have been narrowed down between "LA Breakers" and "LA D-Fenders", with "LA Breakers" leading 64% to 36%...Check all the names in the brackets. "LA Soulboys", "LA Ball Doctors", "LA Nuevos", "LA Boys", "LA News"...LMAO. Buss was smokin' crack when he came up with these names...At least the "Breakers" isn't THAT bad.
