I read on SOHH that in the new XXL that D.O.C. wrote all of Snoop's first two albums? Does anyone believe this?
-

Maybe...at the moment i don't know,i'm high of purple haze from switzerland :o

Nah, didn't DOC say he helped write Doggystyle, but then ditched around the time they started Doggfather? I know that Snoop and DOC did the majority of writing for the Chronic, so why the hell would only DOC write DOggystyle. Besides, DOC is not credited for even one song on Doggfather!
I know a lot of dickheads are gonna say, "Well, you can tell cuz Snoop has fallin off since then".....i say, maybe he has, but only becasue he isn't hungry as he used to be. Bad Azz did quite a bit of ghostwriting on Doggfather, but the DOC did NOTHING on Doggfather. peace
-
nahhh , he help , even if he would wrote the hole shit , people said snoop didn'T had lyrical skillz back in the days , that he was talkin about party shit , and the rhymes wasn't so famous, ah ah , just to show you how haters are so hypocrite, dawm
-
The DOC might have made suggestions on certain lines or whatever but they all did that for each other back then. Snoop always has written his own shit.
-
yeah remember then eminem incident , lol snoop was mad because eminem wanted to write some stuff for snoop , kids nowadays, no respect for the veteran, now c'mon with it, yeah most of u will say that eminem will bring some lyrics(bullshits) on the song or album , anyways , oh nowdays , who's name is bigger , snoop or em , answer em , cause of sale , more people know em cause he sold like 7 millions album thats it , shit gonna change with the upcoming one
-
i think that doc did some ghost writing on doggystyle. but maybe im wrong. ::)
-
Does DOC claim that he wrote the lyrics on Doggystyle and Doggfather?...I don't think he had anything to do with Doggfather cause he had his own album Helta Skelta come out the same year...I know he wrote on Chronic and Doggystyle but for him to claim he wrote on Doggfather is bullshit...
-
Maybe he was talking about the Chronic being snoop's first album, and doggystyle being his second. It's obvious he put in major work on both of those albums. I read somewhere a long time ago, that dre said that Snoop wrote 75% of the Chronic. Maybe the DOC wrote the other 25%.
What I've always understood is this: Snoop would write a lyric, the DOC would help with re-writes, as well as writing some of his own lines, then RBX and snoop would work on the flow. I always heard Snoop/Doc/RBX were responsible for all the tight rhymes on doggystyle.

What? You Mean Dre Didn't Write Any Of It? ;D
-
I just read the DOC article and i have come to the conclusion that those SOHH dudes are idiots jumping at the chance to dis Snoop.....DOC doesn't say he wrote Doggfather, he says he left around the time they started on it. As for Doggystyle, he says he helped with alot of it.....which is commone knowledge.
"Me, D-O-G, and D-O-C sat and made/lyrics to replenish your name like gatorade"- RBX from Escape From Death Row

I read the XXL article and it didn't say that. I did not read anywhere in the article where it said the DOC wrote Snoop's first two albums. He wasn't even with the Row after 93, it even says that in XXL

yeah this is a diss toward death row , but what does it have to do with the thread ?? , i personnaly think they didn't wrote all the chronic but , i might be wrong
-
He helped write it, but didn't write it all...... he and Snoop worked as a duo with a lot of the songs... just like they did with The Chronic
-Big BpG
-
Slickafella, i was using the RBX quote to show Logic who wrote the lyrics on Chronic............i think Dre of course came up with a lot of concepts, and daz and Kurupt and Rage did their own lyrics, but i think RBX, Snoop, and DOC wrote the majority of the lyrics on the album....that was my point.

That's what I was thinking. Those faggot ass wannabe backpackers at SOHH will do anything to diss West Coast Hip Hop.

Yeah, I think so too, Snoop always been his own man, wouldn't let anybody write all his lyrics.

^
SAy What? ???
-
eminem wanted to write lyrics for snoop ?
-
Notice it isn't Snoop who writes Dre's lyrics now a days? He always use to back in the days of "The Chronic," now he hasn't done anything. Eminem, Hittman and Knoc have been Dre's most popular writers in the last few years.

Yeah, but Snoop is probably too busy to ghostwrite for Dre anyway, with Dogghouse 'n' all. Knoc is the perfect ghostwriter for Dre's type of rap.
-
Daz wrote, produced most of the Doggystyle album (you can hear his voice in the majority of the songs), and like Daz did on the Chronic album, he never got credit for shit.

No..

Daz doesen't even produce his own shit these days...He has Mike Dean doing most of the production...

mayn daz aint wrote a damn thang...daz and warren did alot of the beats, but snoop has no respect for daz; lyrically..
-
i cant remeber wat book read this in but noop was explaining how he would be writing for chronic and d.o.c. would look over his rhymes and tell him.. " nah that aint it" or " put this in there" " say it like this" .... so tha d.o.c. was definatley involved like that
-

I don't think Daz done any producing that ain't got credited for. Daz talks a lot of shit and so does Suge Knight, and there's no wonder that Snoop doesn't fuck that much with Daz, because he lost much of his skill, talks a lot of shit, and is either no business-man. He should just retire.

ok kool
yeah eminem wanted to write some lyric for snoop , i think it was fo the wash , but snoop refused... nobody heard bout this ???
-
Actually the song that Snoop didn't want Eminem to write for was Bad Guys Always Die for the Wild wild west soundtrack. That was originally supposed to be a Dre and Snoop song.
-
whoever thinks daz produced any thing on the chronic needs a swift sock in the face
and whoever thinks daz had all that much to do with doggystyle either needs a fat remote control shoved up their ass
3 songs guys THREE SONGS are the only things daz and warren g every fucking helped dre with THREE songs....and dre had to remix them
god damn i'm getting so fucking sick and tired of all these idiots who are ignorant to production
