YO.... this shit is still bangin over a year after it's release... it's still relevant... gangsta rap with a political stance.... Dead Prez music is more powerful than the Coup, Public Enemy or any of these other so-called political rap groups... This album hits you at all angles.
-
Yeah, they tight, definatly one of the best groups out there.
They got a new album dropping in March.
-
'Let's Get Free' was crazy dope, and contained alot of important issues, im really feelin Dead Prez and their message, although its been misinterpreted by many...
-
Any other Dead Prez Supporters Up In Here?
right here homie
-
Here too.
And if you ain't done it, be sure to check The Coup feat. Dead Prez - Get up
It's dope ;D
-

-
They tight as fuck...

Damn right I support Dead Prez. Unlike 75% of the other rappers out there, they got meaning to their music. Its as real as you can get.
It inspires me to write things similar to that but from my standpoint and what I'm dealing with. I can't wait for their new album to drop no doubt.
My favorite tracks from them are Hip Hop, Food Clothes Shelter, Police Stare, Still Bigger than Hip Hop, Psychology etc etc. I can listen to their whole album all the way through.

Being white, i take a little offense to their lyrics which are obviously anti-white.....however, i feel they have talent and i do like some of their songs. I understand that they are doing something very powerful with their music, which is more than anyone other artists can claim right now. Still, i feel they can often be ignorant and close-minded......to say they are more powerful than Public Enemy is (or was) is an incredulous statement. So, no, i don't support the Dead PRez, but i feel most of their stuff.....hopefully they will get their heads out of their asses and quit being so ignorant and racist at times.......peace

More powerful than Public Enemy? "Fight The Power" alone had more impact than dead prez. I am a supporter.
-
Hell yeah, Raps wit real meanings is my favorite shit in tha world.......Dead Prez is defenitly one of my favorite groups out there......
-
I support, but more powerful than P.E., well maybe not because Chuck D had his ways of getting America to listen. But Dead Prez is cool, and it gets bumped. You should see my cousin, favorite group besides the Wu.

I support them, although I'm white!
Honestly they are theres a lot of truth in their lyrics, especially talking about america!
But they sometimes exaggerate their racist shit!
-
I'm a huge supporter. Down with the whities! LOL... just kiddin'. I can't wait for their next album. :)
-
i support 100% whole heartely dead prez i feel exactly what they say, especially what they said about sept.11
as for the brother who wanted to listen to dead prez, besides the songs already mentioned, peep Mind Sex and Be Healthy
mind sex itself is one of the biggest songs of the year
-
i'll check them out. they're not gonna sit there and preach to me how everything's the white man and the United States' fault are they? i don't really need that when i'm just trying to listen to good beats and lyrics that follow those beats, a.k.a hip hop.

Word
I can't believe I forgot to mention that. Its the best track on the album. Mos def check it out, thats the song that got me to buy there album.
BTW, Anyone that bought the DP album knows that the cover is censored. I'm just wondering why did they do that? What's so offensive with people throwin' up spears in the air?

i'm white, yet i still feel dead prez, i can listen to that cd over and over, i do however, take a little offense to some of the stuff they say, but not a whole lot, cause white people have done the same thing 100 times worse. if you read interviews with them, they say they aren't anti-white really, and some of their stuff get misunderstood and shit. Both Hip hip and Its bigger than hip hop along with mind sex, and the whole rest of the album are phenominal, the rhymes actually mean something and they deal with important issues, anyone know when their next album drops? peace
