Post by: P Nelson on June 15, 2006, 09:46:26 PM
Is there any site or something where I can play or/and download Nintento games? I wanna play Simon's quest and  Mag max in particular, Thank you for helping! BTW, there's a Tank game i'm looking for but I don't know the name, there's bricks and you have to protect yourself and shoot, there's also a game racing game, you can change the music and everything, man I feel old, I'm gonna buy a Nintendo soon but before, I have to play these games on the PC, thanks 8)

Go on limewire on watever and write nintendo emulator and youll find a nintendo and 80 games at times. I think the game youre talking about is guerrilla war and if thats thats my favorite game as kid. I went nuts when i first had it its got all the classics but there hard to play without a remote... let me know if this is the same game youre talking about im curious to see if it is. Lots of people dont even know about this great game.

You can download an Emulator. They can be found eeasily on Limewire. Just look for a .rar file and they're usually compressed with all the games available for NES

At least I can actually hear some songs 8) Mag Max was the SHIT! That Tank game was easily one of my best ever

My Top 5

1- Mario 3 by far...
2- Mag Max
3- Battle City
4- Simon's Quest
5- Double Dragon / some racing game

HOLY SHIT, I found the NAME of the game, it's Battle City,  I have great memory 8)

Thanks for the advice mtl, i'm a little scared of limewire though :-[

just make sure you don't download an .exe file off limewire. with a .rar file you should be fine. just scan it before you extract it.

exe files are files that have the higher probability of having viruses in them. they are installer programs and when you install a program it might have a virus in it. that is why i ALWAYS scan those file types before opening it. music files are ok. ive yet to have a problem with them.

For roms and emulators go to this site:

www.romreactor.net (http://www.romreactor.net)

You can find almost everything there.. NES, SNES, N64, every Gameboy, Sega consoles etc...

This is a good NES emulator:

Nestopia 1.09 (http://www.romreactor.net/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=11)

Only downside is that you have to wait for your downloads a bit because you´re queued... but it´s worth it..

edit:

LOL I just downloaded that Battle City... never heard of that when I had my NES... pretty funny... not sure though if that´s really the NES version because you have to "insert coins" at the start.. funny though.... with that emulator you can even player over the net  :D

Battle City:

http://rapidshare.de/files/23210007/Battle_City__VS_.zip.html  32kb lol

Just put the roms in the same folder as the emulator is... you don´t have to extract the roms.. just put the zip files in the nestopia folder and you´re good..
