I just saw this one on DVD last night and I must say I didn't expect it to be THIS violent, bloody, brutal and at some times even sadistic!!!
Maybe I'm overreacting cause I was under the influence while I watched it but still, I've seen quite a few horror movies in my life (and I'm not just talking about the regular mainstream US horrorfilms here) but damn this is one helluva movie! I'm surprised that 20th Century Fox had the balls to release this and I'm even more surprised that the MPAA gave the green light to release it in this form...
This remake is NOTHING like Wes Craven's original from the 70's and it makes movies like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and Wrong Turn turn (ha!) pale in comparison, KNB did a great job on the special make-up effects but I could have done without the rape scene though I can't stand to watch that type of stuff (and no I haven't seen Irreversible and I'm not planning to)...
Other than that you gotta see this one to believe it! 8)

Yea...It's a great remake of Wes Craven's classic.

I don't know which was more twisted: The Hills Have Eyes or Running Scared
I compare the two because I saw them both around the same time & they're both fucked up lol
