Title: Looking for a nice 'latin' album...any suggestions?
Post by: CRAFTY on June 19, 2006, 11:42:45 AM
I don't know how to exactly describe it, but I'm looking for an album with a summertime vibe & with Spanish lyrics. I'm not talking about rap music in case you were wondering.
Every year I go on holiday to Gran Canaria and I often hear that kinda happy Latin music, with just acoustic guitars & a singer.

I know that Carlos Santana has got a few of those nice summertime tunes, but that's not what I'm looking for. I want something even more laidback.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

In case you want to check out some hot latin rap; Delinquent Habits.

^^^^Well, it's certainly not reggaeton I'm looking for. And salsa is too up-tempo...What I want is something real laidback.

@ Thoughtful: I've just listened to the snippets on Amazon.com and that's indeed the kind of music I was looking for! Thanks a lot man. It can be hard to find a specific music genre when you don't know where to start looking...PROPS!

Btw...track 3 "El Cuarto De Tula" is played in Training Day 8)

Any other suggestions are still welcome!
