Title: Portugal vs Mexico & Iran vs Angola
Post by: Big BpG on June 21, 2006, 01:03:32 AM
Portugal has advanced.
Iran Is Out.

Mexico and Angola are Fighting for 2nd spot in their group.

For Mexico To Advance They Need:
Draw with Portugal or Win
or
If they lose, Iran must win or draw with Angola

For Angola To Advance
They must win and Mexico must lose, and they must have more goals scored than Mexico. At this moment Mexico has 2 goals, Angola has 0.

As it looks, Angola best chances to advance would be to win and mexico lose. If they have the same points as Mexico, it will be very hard for Angola to advance, considering they must score 3 goals if Mexico doesn't score against Portugal.

I'm rooting for my team, Mexico. I believe they will draw with Portugal and I do believe Angola will beat Iran. They played well against two superior teams and now face Iran, a team they should be able to beat.

I saw the highlights. Iran was everywhere today. Well it's football. As for Mexico, I'm still crying over the fact Bravo missed his penalty shot. At least get it on target.

As soon as Mexico started playing well in the 2nd half, the missed penalty occurs and then the Red Card.  Mexico has been a huge dissapointment so far.  I have no hopes in the Round of 16 but I just want them to play good for an entire game at least once in this tournament.  The Confederations Cup Mexico hasn't showed up.  Borgetti's lost has been huge too.  Oh well, hopefully Borgetti is healthy for Saturday's game.

Bravo was a huge for mexico against Iran... now, in the last two games, he's had clear cut shots and has just whammy'd them. Against Angola, he tried to flick over the keeper, not enough power, also against angola, he was left one and one with the keeper, a defender just behind him, he whiffs the ball and it slowly rolls along the turf. Today, he had a great shot shot at goal and it was a great save. Pardo hit a perfect pass to him and he also biffed it in the stands... then the penalty...

Bravo needs to relax a little and just play some good football...

As for borgetti, I hope if he plays, he truly healthy, I don't want him to go out to be a heroe if he's not truly ready....

Argentina Mexico... Here we go!
