Title: Who has been the player of the tournament so far?

My vote would have to go to Maxi Rodriguez.

Not only for his great goal against Mexico but he has scored 3 goals in 4 games - the most for a midfielder so far.

He has been a threat with his passing and dribbling as well as his goal-scoring.

What does everyone else think?

Maxi by far for the reasons everyone has already stated.  For me, in 2nd place has to be Maniche

Other than Maxi, let me name an italian player who's playing great: Cannavaro. I think he's the best defender in the tournament.

I was gonna put him in, but he didn't quite make the cut.

People could argue in favour of others, i.e. Joe Cole, Kaka as the best player so far.  You couldn't argue FC has been.

I think Klose or Riquelme. Thats gona make for a dope quaters game. Germany and Argentina
