I was just going to create a thread titled: Ukraine vs Switzerland = a good subsitute for bedtime stories? ;D
god damn go to extra time to make it a little more exciting >:(
-
I think they should intervene, and send this shit straight to pens.. I don't think I can watch another 30.

LMAO. Since we're all chilling, did you know i'm a good friend of David Chiumiento? I think he played a couple of matches with Swiss U21 and with the National team. I know his parents too, good guys. I think he played in France the past season? He's a Juventus player.

Cool, he was rated as a decent player, left-sided midfielder right?
-
The next Del Piero. LOL. But no, he didn't live to the expectations tho. But he's still so damn young, i think he's 22 now.
-
Maybe he should loan to Parma :), we'll need help on the left since we lost Rosina fully, and Bresciano's set to go.

The next Del Piero? Amazing potential then a injury which robbed him half of his pace? That's a bit harsh to wish that on him.
-
This has the potential to be the weakest penalty shoot-out of all time.
-
this is ridiculous...
-
and I thought Holland sucked at penalties, lol
-
they went out without conceding a goal in normal play.

The past season he was pratically a Parma player till the last second of calciomercato. I had a phone convo with him and he was sure he was going to Parma. Then he went to Lens, i think. A France team. I don't call him since that day. Maybe later i will.

Can't blame Del Piero tho. He was the best player in the world (with Ronaldo, ok, i'll give you guys that) when he got injured.

ITALY vs UKRAINE in the next round. FINALLY WE GOT A CONTENDER, lol.

I never knew that.. maybe we'll ask for him this season.
Interesting though.

Oh, and since we're chilling and the game was so boring.. well i'm a great friend (very close) of Antonio Benarrivo. He's from Brindisi, my city. His parents got their home just 5 meters in front of mine.

Really?
To me he's a Parma great, I loved him back in the 90's.
What does he do now?

Nah i was just kidding, I wasn't slagging Del. I think he coulda been one of the greats, its a shame for him.

He lives in Parma with his family now. He invested his money in houses, restaurants, those things. With Stoichkov, do you remember him? They invested 50% and 50% in a lot of those projects. And yes, he's not only a Parma great, but a Brindisi's living legend. lol.
He was incredible at USA 94.

Such a reliable player, '94 was when I started following Italian football.. I still have my '94 shirt somewhere :).
I'm a little suprised he didn't work with the team staff like Minotti n Appoloni did.
& when I think of Stoichkov @ Parma, I remember his great free-kick against Atalanta :).
I believe Taffarel still has a restaraunt in Parma too.
