The chronic hands down, you had to be around to really appreciate what it did, and what the standard of an album is for hiphop and music in general period. 8) 8) ;D Dre went bezerk on deez nuts and still cant be faded.
-
chronic, they both reinvented rap though.
-
You are right. They both did, but i also liked the chronic because it was more inhouse orientated and you can sense the hungriness of the DR artists.
-
for me its no contest.. THE CHRONIC
-
The Chronic 8)
Those who were listening to hip-hop when the first album dropped have more appreciation for it. Those who are younger or got into hip-hop because of Eminem typically go with 2001. Both are Classic regardless.

I'd agree with that except I like The Chronic better, much better.
-
The Chronic...but 2001 is undisputable classic, no question. It's just that I'm really feeling the old school shit.

Too Tough to say...

The Chronic, hands down.
With the exception of 'Bang Bang', I thought everything on 2001 was dull after track 15.
The Chronic was one of the defining records of my youth.
