Stojakovic Explores Free Agent Market
Mike Wells of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR writes, "Indiana Pacers forward Peja Stojakovic opted out of the final year of his contract Monday, making him a free agent. The three-time All-Star, who said during the regular season he would take that action, was scheduled to make $8.2 million next season. The free agent negotiating period begins July 1, and teams can start signing players July 12. Pacers officials have said they want to re-sign Stojakovic, who was acquired from Sacramento for Ron Artest on Jan. 25."

Yeah as a Pacer fan I want to resign him but if we dont its not the end of the world cause we could start Granger! Peja makes me mad he used to be as good as Dirk and now its not even close what happened to the Peja who averaged 24ppg and finished 4th in MVP voting??

LOL...I bet you he will get over-paid by some desperate team.

ya and I really hope its NOT Toronto....doubt it will be
but Ive never been a fan of Peja or his game....hes is just one of those boring ass players that nobody enjoys watching. He will knock down 3's and free throws and thats about it.

if peja ever becomes aggresive he would be a good player but his game is strictly perimiter.

peja was the perfect player for sacramento because he played his part. they needed him to knock down 3s and hit clutch shots. if it wasn't for the lakers i think they would've won a ring. but i doubt if he'll ever find a team that suited him as well as the kings.

Indiana actually suited him nicely...He basically took on the role of Reggie Miller, filling in as the teams primary shooter. I think they should re-sign him, but only if he realizes he doesn't hold the value of a superstar...PeACe
