Doesnt sound too bad, I actually like this. The beat is cool so is Snoops flow, but the hook is kinda ass though. Need a CDQ to judge
-
^^^^ exactly my thoughts... the chorus is funny tho at least so it aint sooo bad to listen to. but i know everyone wanted a better version of the track so here it is.

Props man!
Great production from Neptunes, Snoop sounds great, I dont like the beat in the chours though. This is probably a grower like Drop It Like Its Hot.

damn, that didn't bother me until you pointed it out..
i hope he puts like 4 long verses in the final cut of the song though, as of right now its way too short. and hopefully he leaves that r&g shit out - fuck the black eyed peas and janet jackson this could be his best since last meal or even doggystyle. this song is the shit.
-
Props to you both Big Doug and Detox!!
Dope track I like the beat!!

WHATS UP WITH THE TITLE "VATO"
-
WHATS UP WITH THE TITLE "VATO"
it means "DUDE" i think...and this song is about Black & Brown...dope shit
-
Thanks for hooking this up, been waiting a while to hear this.
Sounds dope, no doubt. Neptunes beats usually have a 50/50 success rate with me. This one is good, suits Snoop well. Ain't too poppy either (as far as I can tell from the quality). Snoops sounds good too, dude was on point in the studio when he made this. Hopefully he stays on point. One complaint though - the track could be longer...
-
This song is cool but the hook is WACK thats pharrel trying to mimic a "ese" and that shit is not cool at all alot of the homies are not feeling this. How is this suppose to help the black and brown thing? When you have a black producer on the hook mimicing a "ese" all this is going to do is make it worse. Really think about it!!!!!!

even worse how is it going to help the black and brown when on the hook he talking about busting on his enemies who are most likely black. How you going to have black and brown unity and you talking about busting on black enimies who is supposed to be your brotha. You must have black on black unity and then you can achieve respect with brown brotha and vice versa.

I've only heard the song once and at first I thought it was someone else doing the hook but when it came on for the second time, I realized it was Pharrell and the first thing that ran through my mind was why does he have to sound like that? It's a bit misplaced to say the least... :-\
-
Pharell is probably the biggest attention whore in the rap game.
-
1st off it sounded like he was trying to diss so i hit up my boy thats thrives off this rap beef, he made a few calls & hes says it intended towards Vato Loko Camron basically Dpg Crip vs Dip set Bloods but i dont know....
-
when can we expect the full mp3 dubcnn?
-
This beat fucking bangs!!!! i like it its a grower
-
Pharrell in a mexican voice = classic

Was looking forward to hearing this track till i heard Pharell was on the hook, can he bot produce one track without sticking himself on the hook !
-
I really like this, especially the throwback to 'The Day The Niggaz Took Over' at the end - that's a nice touch.
The problem is, I let 'Drop It Like It's Hot' get me hyped for R&G, and that album was a hot mess. So I feel like I can't let this track get me anticipating the next CD...
-
I'm really feelin' this track, props for the link... 8)
-
Pharrell in a mexican voice = classic
Pharrell in a Mexican voice = wrong
-
not my fault
-
^^ what kind of respond is that?
-
Decent song, I like that Snoop went back to imitating other minorities, like his reggae shit in "The Day The Niggaz Took over"
-

oh well that explains everything doesnt it?
-
Yo I don't know about this hook. It's kinda disrespectful of this is suppose to bring unity between the Black and Brown I don't think it will do so. This muthafucka straight on the hook mimicing a "Vato" which is bullshit cus not all Mexicans talk like that.
-
Pussy.
-
Here's the hook or best I can tell, i'm white though.
"Vato you won't believe what I saw
I saw these pack of guys and they act real hard
They twist their fingers and say you know who we are?
He say I don't give a fuck, yall I'm snoop doggy dogg
They kept talkin' and it went too far
So Snoopy he went straight to the trunk of his car
He got his shit and they started runnin' hard
He started firin' and then he just charged"
"Blow! Run Run Run, Blow Duck Duck Duck, Blow Run Motherfucker Run, Blow Run Motherfucker Run"
That's not a diss, that's just typical braggin' bullshit
-
no, thats a bangin hook
-
I wannna hear this track in good quality with all the swearing and from the start
-
i hope he puts like 4 long verses in the final cut of the song though, as of right now its way too short...
Just heard another version on BBC Radio 1 and there is one more verse at the beginning and about half a verse until the posted version of the track begins.
The first verse begins like that:
"I was chillin', right around my way
2-1st east-side at the beach.
This motherfucker ran up on me
talkin' shit with his homies like he was a straight "G".
Askin' where I'm from...
...(did'n understand that part)...
Some thangs, some thangs just don't change,
fools don't respect nuthin' but the gangbang..."
Hope this is useful. :)
