Alot of you might not agree wit me here but I think this album is one of the best CD's to come from the west, actually nah, to come out in hip hop generally. There is not 1 single wack track & the album is put together perfectly (tracklist).Like the members of Little Brother say - "Dope beats, dope rhymes, what more do y'all want".What do y'all think???
-
It is, but most of the people wont agree because they start digging Xzibit when he started to work with Dr.Dre...but in my opinion it is a Classic, same with his first album.
-
Tight album, yes. Classic, no. Only a handful of albums deserve the term 'classic'.
-
yeah i agree but his first album is better
-
I love At The Speed Of Life but I can't call it a classic, I don't know, it's missing something. Here is my list of X's albums from favorite to least favorite:
40 Dayz & 40 Nightz
Restless (westcoast classic)
At Speed Of Life
Weapons Of Mass Destruction
Man vs. Machine
-
I really really really like this album but its not a classic.
-
I lilke Xzibit but I don't think he has dropped a classic yet, and he probably never will.
-
At The Speed Of Life is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better.
-
Xzibit to me was better before he hooked up with dre.
-
yeah i agree but his first album is better
-
dope, definitely not a classic though. The Chronic was a classic.
-
It's funny that alot of people think Restless is better because of the beats, but X had pretty much the same producers on 4o dayz. What You See Is What You Get was retired from Rap City and that is almost unheard of now. I liked Restless, but after hangin out with DPG, he started to think he was a crip. c walkin on stage and changin his subject matter on his songs.

Agree. Can say the same thing for RESTLESS
-
A classic to hip hop in genreal, no. A classic to me personally, yeah.
-
its all a matter of opinion and personal prefrence.
Example: Most people would consider Dre's Chronic or 2001 a classic, but if you go to outbound all the Dipset fans would claim Cam's Killa Season classic, its too subjective for everyone to consider any album a classic.
-
to me a classic cd in MY eyes is one you can listen to beginning to end
and with "Restless" I can do that
40 is a cool cd though...

True, the word gets over used, same with 'legend'.
