There's always someone that stands out in a group that usually goes on to be a successful solo artist. List some groups and the weaker member in each. Heres what I can think of:
Eastsidaz: Goldie Loc
Outkast: Big Boi
Bone: Wish Bone
DPG(well when they were a group): Daz
Westside Connection: Wack 10

LOLOL wtf. big boi is off tha chain. n if u listen to outkast really spit, hes a tighter lyricist to me. he jus dont stand out cus dre'z wierd ass is so noticeable lol n i dont think goldie loc is a weak link. on Dueces n Trayz, i think he had tha HARDERST verse on tha album. on tha track with mobb deep, he hit em like a gangsta on that one.
but for me...sum of these groups dont really do shit anymore:

Pras is the shiznit. His verses always always stood out on The Score. But everyone got they own opinions.
And when I said Big Boi is the weakest link I didn't mean he is wack. Both Andre3000 and Big Boi are tight lyracist, I just prefer Andre.

Wyclef was pretty tight, then he fell off. In the fugees, he was tight. Pras was alright. He did a remix of "Too Bad" with Michael Jackson, and did a couple verses, it was pretty tight.

Bit of a stupid topic really because these groups would of proberly been nothing without all of these members that you are saying. I mean wheather it be on the mic, producing or wahtever I am sure they are all wheathy of being in the groups that they are in cause if they wasent good enough they wouldent be or of been there.

DPG (Snoop Nate, Kurupt and Daz as one in the early Death Row years) - Nate Dogg, the early years were more of everyone else, and Nate getting over looked
Tha Eastsidaz - Snoop Dogg, star power, but should step aside for the true group
Wu Tang - Ol' Dirty Bastard, not the greatest lyrist, just funny as hell
Bone Thugs N Harmany - Bizzy Bone, I know his sounds odd, but he didn't get along with the rest of them, and this cause the end, but now we have a rebirth, so we'll see
