Killa Kali was a classic, but Celly is just outdated, flow & style wise to me. Whats funny, is if u look at G-Filez his album from 98, its shittin on everytihing the bay put out this year, and that was considered his fall off album. I'd rather NOT hear Celly go for the hyphy approach. Is it too much to ask that at least 1 Bay rapper tries to go back to that mobb sound?

aint herd it

well no, it wouldn't be too much to ask, but thats not the demand right now, hyphy is, believe or not they're are more people who want to hear the new hyphy shit than the old sckool mobb sound. I mean thats kool that you want to keep it OG but how often do you see people or rappers, that still sport the dickies and chuck taylors or the old skool plaid and checkers? i mean 98??? Its almost been a decade.

Definitley Joe, I feel you on that. I don't think that the mobb sound would make a comeback, but it would be nice to see. I think I'm just getting old. I like some of the hyphy stuff, I just didn't think Celly sounded comfortable on this particular album. My problem with rap nowadays is that very few cats try anything groundbreaking, or even try to distract from the norm. It seems almost everyone has to follow the same formula of making albums, and they wonder why they ain't sellin. I agree the old school style most likeley wont come back, but it would be cool to see.

I agree with that.
The G-Filez was actually a very good album that got slept on.
Celly Cel should definitely go back to the Mobb sound because this Hyphy shit ain't working for him.

I don't member saying anything about Spice, but since we are on the topic of Bay rappers that lost it, he fell off so bad, it makes my ears bleed. And he used to be my favorite rapper.

I think that Spice 1 still comes hard at times. He just doesnt have that flow like he used too.

Spice has indeed fell off as hard as any rapper there is and it's very sad cause he has always been one of my favorites. Imo Kurupt, Prodigy, and Spice-1 have fallen off harder than any other rappers around.
