Sampdoria sign Vieri

Serie A side Sampdoria have signed Italian striker Christian Vieri for 800,000 euros (£560,000) from French side Monaco on a one-year deal.
 
The 32-year-old's 2006 World Cup hopes were thwarted by injury.

Vieri began his career with Prato in Italy's third division, before moving to Torino, Atalanta and Juventus.

After stints at Atletico Madrid and Lazio, the striker joined Inter Milan for a then world record £31m in 1999 and also played for AC Milan.

He also played for Piza, Ravenna & Venezia inbetween playing for Torino and Atlanta.

Vieri is a fat ass who can't play good football no more. He's not worth more than Sampdoria.
