Envy Expo @ the La Convention Center Saturday July 9 th presented by Dj Skee with apperances/showcases from Mitchy Slick, Damani, G Malone, GLC (of drive slow fame), Mr. Cartoon, Dj Reflex, Lucious Liz, Krondon, Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, and The Game.
Was no one here attending that? 9,000 people bought tickets to it....
Who has pics of the rides? Or pics of the performances?
No mention of Brazil Street with Big Fase in the building at the convention center with Game performing live?
Someone has to be talking about how the Game named his album release date (November 7th) and says new street single to be released at the end of July.
I know someone here sat through that boring ass dunk contest and that sorry "shoe expo" haha, where are the southern california heads at?
In the meantime I suggest everyone go and cop the new Dj Warrior/Scipio Mixtape titled "Angel Dust Vol. 1" you can find the links to sites that sell the mixtape @ http://www.myspace.com/djwarrior (http://www.myspace.com/djwarrior) Few heat rocks on that joint, especially the song addressing Arnold and the Tookie Williams situation. They were handing it out for free at the end of the Envy Expo.

One of this people gave me that tape he has out with Dj Warrior, that shit is cool. Someone else was handing out a Scipio mixtape and that shit is FIRE.
You post on SOHH.com right? I could have sworn you mentioned that you thought Game and Fase were gonna patch shit up. Thought that was going to happen too. I seen Brazil Street and Fase posted up by the Full Throttle party bus for a while and Game acknowledged them during his performance but not sure if that was a shout out or not. His boys on stage noticed them and gang signs went flying.
Shoe expo and womens expo was weak. They should have just said it was a booth instead of an "expo" shit was weak.
Twista was in the place to be, dunno why he was there but I seen em hanging out with Mr. Cartoon at his booth.

those performances alone is woth a whole lot more then 25 bucks that´s for sure. i mean how often do y´all really think these artists will be at the same venue again? more then likely it´ll never happen again.

Yeah I thought they was going to do the hollywood makeup for the press and everything. I was expecting more from the expo I guess. That jewelry booth and that sneaker booth was weak as hell man. I wont even talk about the dunk contest. The old scholl loads was straight though. I got this boondocks cd from somebody there that was my highlight for the expo. It pretty banging. I think I battled one of the mc's named Drastic on there live on the radio back in the day. I'm not sure if he's the same cat. The performances was alright. I'm just glad I didnt pay cuz I would've been dissapointed. Like I said I guess I had more expectations for the Expo.

Nah, he wasn't on stage very long. I think he did maybe 5 songs? They pushed back the time he was going to be on stage total because they brought on so many special guests who were not originally set to perform. Originally he was going to go on for a while.
Didn't get to check much of O. Cruz' performance but the crowd seemed to like it. I thought aside from Game that G Malone had the best performance of the day. Mitchy Slick's sound was fucked up when he came on. The guy was either sleeping or being a moron because he couldn't get the levels right until after Mitchy got off the stage. GLC did two songs in total and the crowd was really loving Drive Slow where he did everyones verses. Damani had a really good set too. Not very familiar with him but I was really feeling his music.

I was their it was tight I was like first row almost against the security railing really tight show mitchy did this song I cant remember the name of it but it had a tight ass beat I got a couple of pics and I filmed I think every performance I will be posting pics and video as soon as I can get my camera back from my homie, hopefully today.

I am not sure if it was him or not as I was not too close to the stage but a guy who looks like Jay Rock was on stage in a dodger jersey when Game came on tossin up signs and dancing around. He was just chillin and signing along in the backround. To me it seemed like they were throwin signs to Big Fase/Brazil Street but I don't want to gossip like I knew exactly what was going on. I am sure Fase will speak on it in through one of his outlets so it is probably better to hear from him.
Really I am suprised not more people went that post here at the dub. Hopefully SVG comes by and tosses in some input and maybe some pics. My weak ass sidekick didn't get any pictures worth posting.
edit: chunkc85 that would be cool if you could hook that shit up. Especially the videos. If you need a place to host em, let me know and I can get something worked out.

oh and game did say he was droping new single july 30th or 31st dont remember what day exactly and he said The Doctors Advocate drops Nov. 7th.

I dunno what happened so I am not going to gossip or say one way or another but Jay Rock was having a good ol time on stage. He was dancing behind game when everyone was hugging the wall and Baron Davis had to go up to him, put his arm around him, and move him to the back where everyone else was standing around haha.
Who came up on the blunt wraps, free shirts, free hats, mixtapes, energy drinks, and posters? They gave away a bunch of shit for free. Holla @ me if you want the Scipio mixtape put out by Dj Warrior. Envy Expo will be back out here then around the same time as this years. This year was more like a test the waters type deal so I would imagine next year is going to be twice as good. I don't know if they expected as many people to purchase tickets as they did.

Chunk the guy to the right of Game when he was on stage in the Dodger jersey who was dancing behind him towards the end of the set before Baron Davis put his arm around him and pulled him away, is that Jay Rock? I wasn't close enough to tell.
