Nice read!
Funny how he answered the Dre question... 8)

AllHipHop.com: It's no secret that a lot of Dr. Dre beats left in the vaults are and were credited to other producers. Is it a coincidence that Blackstreet’s "Don't Leave Me This Way" has such a similar sound to "I Ain’t Mad At Cha"?
Daz: [laughs] Hmmmm…so you heard anything about [Spider] Loc leaving G-Unit?
What's the interviewer trying to say, Dre stole a beat from Daz that ended up being credited to Teddy Riley? :eh:
Both track's sample the same song.

im think this DAZ album gonna the best album from all the other DPG shit we heared in years cause JD dont fuck around

AllHipHop.com: Guys like Dip Set and other artists have decided to stay indie because more of the money goes to the artist. You’ve experienced major indie success since Tha Row, why did you decide to run with a major label again?
Daz: I really just want to get my music out there for more people to hear, and the money will come. I’m not worried about that. I mean, before, we’d put out a mixtape on the West coast—me and my man DJ Pooh, we started all that indie s**t in Cali before anyone—and sell 30 or 40 thousand at $13 a pop…and that’s all my money! Now, I’m not tripping I’ll go like double Platinum and make that just from performances. Performing everywhere is the s**t that I get most of my money from; I got houses in a lot of places.
That's a mighty big claim by Daz..and I think that nigga is lying..I think them niggaz up in the Bay have been doing the indie thang for a cool lil minute though...could be wrong though
I don't see this nigga going 2x platinum, maybe if this was 96-97 but Daz is on "some real shit" if he think he gonna pull down 2x plat.."Raw" went hard and was a very good album to me, but everything else Daz has made after that has been so so and some of it is down right annoying at times. I think Daz pushing 250,000 would be decent for that nigga.

Yeah I thought it was E40 that started that indie shit.
-
Hmmmmmmm, thats a funny thing. he's putting a trailor of his new movie with his album and i said i was gonna do that months ago.
-
Daz did start the movement in LA, after his stay in the Bay, and of course learning from up there, and then fighting up there... lol. But Daz did bring it down, it's funny how LA forgets the Bay is still westcoast.

LOL I was wondering the same thing. The interviewer at AHH is dumb as shit. Dre only did one or two songs for blackstreet.
Decent interview. The wildin out Daz from his website was more entertaining though. One thing Daz does have going for him is that JD is a really good producer and has been pretty successfull at putting together projects. This is going to be a hell of a task for JD tho.

i just gotta ask, "what was the whole question asking about Spider Loc leavin' G-Unit about?"
