intersting how his weakest album sold the most in the first week, i guess is because of the No limit fans
-
and its intresting that one of his best album sold the least the first week..

Snoop shipped 1,000,000 units in the first week's release of "Doggystyle". It was the first time in music history that an artist had a platinum album before it hit the shelf.

A couple of things to consider...
A) Still a G Thing was getting a lot of video/radio play.
B) Snoop Dogg was big..No Limit was big...so fans of both copped the album.

Doggystyle actually sold a million copies the 1st week...The 803,000 were only reported by stores with soundscan and back in '93 alot of the stores did not have soundscan yet...

I remember when Da Game came out they had a midnight sale at Warehouse Music and it was crowded... Everybody was sitting outside just wating for that shit to drop, bumping 2pac and No Limit shit.... and then we all bought the album at midnight and drove off banging that shit... then I realized it was wack, and went into musical depression.
