just about to listen 8)

Ok, after a 1st quick listen Cheers SHITS on this. Mainly becuase of the super wack production from Eminem. Plus Obie really aint some high energy type of rapper so Im betting this cd gonna have low replay value.
Best tracks after the first quick listen:
Wanna Know
Snitch
Jamaican Girl
All Of My Life
Ther They Go
Ghetto
Everywhere I Go
Obies Story
Who knows maybe its a "grower"
-
It would be cool with more tracks produced by Emile and Sicknotes, I think their style of production suits him. That track with Nate is also pretty good (I knew it wasn't an Eminem beat) but Obie's Story is probably the best track (the other JR tracks aren't as good).
I'm an Emiinem production hater so I won't even bother moving on to that subject.
-
Ghetto is my fav at the moment. Monster beat.
-
after a quick listen:
All the JR tracks is pretty dope.. they are deffently the best on this..
Cry Now and the track with Nate Dogg is also allright..
but eminem really sucks on this... 5/10 album or sometrhing
-
Is Eminem rappin' on There They Go? Just they added Trick Trick's verse, but it's still 03:49.???
sorry 4 my english
-
Em sadly ruined this album, you can't say he's improving production wise, his beats were better on Cheers.

Trick Trick just does adlibs at the end...
Album is disappointing, imo.
Dr.Dre, Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Red Spyda, Hi-Tek, Mr. Porter, Fredwreck, Scott Storch & Timbaland. All supposed to be on the album, none of them are.

anyone gonna post this cd up its not in the hookup spot
-
Ya I have to agree that this is average at best. Listened to it 3 times now and dont see alot of replay value in it. Cheers was a hell of a lot better than this in my opinion. Damn you eminem!!! What the hell is happening to you!!

who got the link ?

pm me for the link..

This cd is garbage compared to cheers there is only like 2 good beats on it rest are all garbage if this is what obie is selling this cd isnt going to go anywhere and eminems beats went down hill on this cd
-
wasnt expecting it to be anywhere good as Cheers...since Cheers is one my fav. albums...its alrite.
-
Sounds like we are listening to different CDs...Im judging Obie and not who did what track.
I really like how Obie Came off on "Cry Now", and pretty much every other track. I can't think of anybody else in the game that is putting this much effort into his music and not relying on scott storch, timbo or any other well-known producer to get the typical "club banga" hit out. I agree the production on Cheers was ridicluous and a very underrated album if it werent for those couple pop singles interscope pushed out. If Cheers was an 8.5/10 for me, SROM is a 7.5/10. Ill defiently cop this when it released.
-
^^ Well Obies flow has imporved, lyrically hes not that good as he was on Cheers.
-
anyone got a link?
-
is this a webrip?
-
Looking at the production, it explains Obie's over the top compliments to Eminem a couple months back in that interview.
-
I haven't heard it yet, but Eminem ruined another album with his production, am I correct?
-
I don't think I want to hear it now after reading all this.
-
defenately feelin the album
Obie Story is my favorite, amazing song
-
Albums completely blown my expectations, need to listen it the last couple of tracks but im def feelin' this so far. Luvin' "Ghetto", that tunes a monster! Should b his next single instead of "Wanna Know". Hope this album sells, cos it doesnt deserve to flop!
And yes Eminems production is SH!T, shudve got some decent beat makers, but obie comes correct on most tunes so its all good!
-
I havent heard the album but it sounds like a lot of hating on em for the sake of it. How people can decide if an album is dope or not in one listen confuses me. On a first listen you miss so much, it always takes me 3-4 listens at least before i make up my mind on an album.
-
Yea but on some songs its real obvious that the beat is shotty, and it's a let down. You don't need to even listen to some of that sh!t again!
-
my my, i didn't want to assume the worse but after a proper listen this is a truly horrible album. poor production ruins it, seems like they forgot to use his first album as a benchmark for how good this should have been....
-
Obie Story and Snitch are the two best tracks imo.
-
can anyone pm me the link propz
