These are some of the west coast catz that will not push many units in the 2002!!!
Soopafly-(even though he's with snoop he does not have a big rep his album will probally be tight but he wont reach gold)
Crooked I-( he is tight lyrically but he will not have anything else going for him Nobody on the east even knows who he is. It takes more than just tight rhymes to sale records. When your coming from the west coast you have to already have a big name. you have to build your shit up and then drop. He might go gold becuase he is the first artist off death row but not much sales after that.)
Kokane-( I doubt he even reaches the gold mark. I was kinda fed up with him on the snoop album, I cant think about a kokane song by himself.)
Hittman-(everybody forgot about him since 2 years ago. You have to stay in people's face and he failed at that. I also herd dre only produced 3 songs.)
Knocturnal-( His new single is not burning up the airwaves and the single is not all that tight anyway sure west coast peeps will cop it but will that be enough to boast him to the next level.)
I know a lot of you dissagree with me but take a good look at the artist I named these are all first timers. Look at Xzibit he was tight for a while but it took a monstor verse on snoop album to get him out there. then he came out on a lot of others stuff then he droped a hot single then he blew up. I am not saying that these albums will be weak Im saying they will not push units. Look at Space Boogie I think that album was tight it had some song that were tight on there but did it push, look at warren-g's album its not pushing, mack-10's, nate dogg's, bad azz all them will be happy with gold. People sleep on new artist and they sleep even more on west coast catz. These guys have to get their videos on MTV in order to sale.
Sorry if you thought Crooked-I was going to push a whole lot of units.

I thinkz Knoc Turnal might go platinum (or gold) right away. He got a good opportunity, and the Knoc-song is very good. Youre right on Xzibit, I was just waitin on him to blow. I didnt use to like Soopafly neither as an artist nor producer, but hes improving. I like him more as a artist, and though I never liked his producing-skills, the joint on Warren G's album was pretty tight. I have a strange feeling that Soopafly might come strong. I think you can add Suga Free to your list, if he drops in 2002 that is.

Knoc-turn'al is getting a lot of exposure from "Bad Intentions". That song has blown up. Even HOT 97 in New York is playing that shit.

I think Soopafly might blow up, as long as he has a single like ''Gotta Git This Money'' he'll be alright, and at least go gold.

Sad thing is alot of these cats ain't even seeing gold...250,000 is a more likely number...Knocturnal ain't gonna sell, Bad Intentions got alot of play but that hasn't helped the wash soundtrack...Bad Azz had probably the tightest westcoast album of 2001 but has sold what?...Labels don't even wanna pay for a second video...I'm still waiting for Eastsidaz, BadAzz, Kurupt's video's...Damn Bad Azz had one video and that song was also on Snoop's album!...What happened to the Liks?...Dropped a tight album but didn't get any push...Loud Records could've sold 3 or 4 million of Xzibit's album if they dropped Get Your Walk On a few month's after the album but they waited too late....

i don't know. i think crooked i might push some units. but all those albums, have a strong chance to go at least gold. cause gold is only like 500,000 units and i know underground cats dat push like 400,000 units just in one specific area.

Problem is that we are also in ressesion. A lot of peeps ain't gonna sell like before, because people ain't got that type of money. 2 years ago, Nate's CD of the same hype would have went platnum already. People don't have the same money, that's way Chronic pushed 3 million, and Chronic 2001 pushed 7, 'cause more people had money in 1999. Right now double platnum is great, and gold is good. Less money equals less sales, plus CD prices are too damn high. I would have been bought a lot of people music, but can't afford them. And I ain't burning off the net unless it's a rear, unreleased, or very old song. Well that and Stillmatic, Thanks Time Lock.

He had another one too. The first song on his album, he's on like a skateboard..."U Don't Wanna Be Broke" I think.
