Post by: MontrealCity's Most on July 30, 2006, 11:36:09 AM
Yo apprently Abreu and cory liddle have been traded to the yanks will this matter? He is not having the best season but still you slide him in to the 7 or 8th spot ....

1. Damon
2. Jeter
3. Rodriguez
4. Matsui
5. sheff
6.Giambi
7.Abreu
8. Posada
9. Cairo

If sheff comes back healthy along with matsui this line up is killa

it's a good pickup short-term for them

long-term though all those large contracts will probably screw them up, especially if they dont win a championship in the next 3 years max.

where is abreu going to be batting right now cause of the matsui and sheff injuries?

Once again the Yankees go out and buy the best players available.

This is what pisses me off about baseball. If the Yankees had an average team's payroll they would lose 100 games every year.

if they had an avg team's payroll, im sure they'd be more careful with where and how they spend their money

right now, steinbrunner (or however u spell his name) is willing to spend as much as it takes...and cashman aint holding back on getting high-paid players

what they fail to realize is that they can get all these high-priced players...but if they are out of their prime and/or if they have no team chemistry, they won't succeed
