so anyone who reads comics right now is reading Marvel's civil war goin on right, The BIGGEST thing to happen in a while. basically heres the synopsis thus far:
After a group of reality show super heroes called the new Warriors try to catch 4 villians hiding out in Stamford Connecticut in order to boost ratings, the new warriors accidently cause the death of 600 people, mostly children, by provoking the group of villains and getting their asses kicked. An angry mother blames All superheroes and mutants for the death of her son and in a Watchmen-esque turn of events the Superhuman registration act is passed which requires all heroes to reveal their identity and join S.H.I.E.L.D. while regestering with hte US government. Tony Stark aka Iron man recently revealed himself to be the Iron Man and has taken the Pro-registration side and a group of heroes including, Bishop, Wasp, Ant-Man, Spiderman, Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm and others all vow to fight for the registration act. In issue 2 Peter Parker reveals his identity in one of the biggest shockers ever since he was the hero who tried hardest to protect his identity. Stark builds Parker a new suit, and the first skirmish begins with the anti registration group led by Captain America with help from the Young Avengers, Cloak, Dagger, Hercules, Daredevil and others TBA. Issue 3 sees the end of the first skirmish and ends with another HUGE shocker, the return of the long dead Norse Prince Thor as a secret weapon of SHIELD.
Im only reading Civil War and X-men Civil but it crosses over into about 10-20 new comics and the entire Civil War series will cover about 80 different comics.
Civil War X-Men number 1 ends with the freed 198 and a reunion of 4 of the 5 original X-men Beast Cyclops Iceman and Angel
anyone else reading this?
