Donīt take the Sphinx hotel at Weteringschans 82 or whatever number it was. Thatīs near Prinzengracht if Iīm not mistaken , near the Amstel museum.
I stayed there with a couple of friends 2 years ago and I gotta say it sucked..
Sure, it was cheap but the bathroom looked like they filmed psycho there. When I think about it they probably gave us the worst room because they knew we just came there to smoke. lol
Fucking great city tough, not only because of the weed.
There are big differences in coffeshops but the dutch users should tell you about it.

fuck what these catz talking about homie...go to the center of the red light district,and go to a nice cheap hotel called hotel83(real talk).......then go to these coffee shops: blue bird,the pit fall(and tell that cute spanish chick that work there hi)and thengo to one of the better shops(pitull)and the grass hopper.peace,and enjoy. 8)

Ive always wanted to go there...I think that in amsterdam there are places you can stay for free, you just have to find out about it, i cant remember exaclty what its called, but a few of my freinds went there and just stayed in these places for free...

Like do shrooms and walk through the Van Gogh Museum (however the fuck you spell it)? Actually I think I read something about Shrooms getting reclassified so they aren't legal to sell anymore, I could be wrong though. I'd just stick to the 8) anyway.

The first coffeeshop I ever went to was the Anytime/Anydays. Really small 2 story coffeshop opposite a brothel . When I was there they worked on the second floor and I think ther are some cozy seats. Nice employees there that help you with your weed selection and let you use a vaporizer. Great prices there - altough I was there like uhm 4 years ago.

I wouldnīt really suggest going to the big coffeshops like grashopper. While theyīre not bad theyīre definatly aimed at tourists. I donīt know about you but I rather was in a small coffeshops and not with a bunch of other people around me. Besides that, itīs funny and interesting to just walk around the city and look for coffeshops yourself. You donīt have to buy weed in every shop, just make sure you buy a drink or two and people donīt have a problem with you smoking weed that you bought elsewhere.
There are some small coffeeshops that serve breakfast, like burgers and ham and eggs etc. While I never checked thos out I Imagine that would be so fucking great to go have a breakfast, then smoke one and then eat again.. lol
