Title: Programs to make screenshots/videocaps with?

Can anyone recommend me some programs that allows you to make screenshots/videocaps of videoclips? I'm looking for something that I can download for free and is easy to use if possible.

If you just want simple screenshots then you can always press PrintScreen on your keyboard (next to F12 key).

Then start Paint, hit Ctrl V to paste it into it and save it.

you can take screenshots with the VLC player.

BSPlayer....it plays all formats and you can just press "P" anytime while its playing when you want a screenshot

^^^^Hmmmm, I just searched on www.download.com but they don't have BSPlayer ??? Would you happen to have a download link for it?

The freeware version of BSplayer installs adware on your pc. Plus it can´t play dvds .I only read those things though.

What youér really looking for though? DO you need a program to play media files and which can take screenshots or just a screenshot utility?

download camtasia(from download.com or their website), its easy to use and there's a trial version of 30 days. after that you can find a serial from the web ;)

i used it for school, its easy :)

Well, I'm currently working on my thesis about Hip-Hop culture. And in one of my sub-chaptres on rap music, I'm discussing rap videos. And I'd like to have a few screenshots of certain videos to add to my thesis. That's what I'm looking for...
