Title: Mr. Capone-E Comments On Snoop Interview, New Music Feat. Lil Eazy
Post by: Lil Jay on August 08, 2006, 04:05:50 PM
www.dubcnn.com

Dubcnn received tremendous feedback for the Snoop Dogg interview the last couple days, from both fans and artists. One of the many artists who reached out to embrace the unity was Mr. Capone-E.

Capone-E and the Hi Power Entertainment camp wanted people to know that they are definitely a force to be reckon with on the West Coast. "We at Hi Power have sold close to a million records in the last year alone, with swap meets and soundscan combined. We run the streets of the West Coast swap meets and all chain stores. We are the streets and we are coming up with our artists Bizzy Bone, Layzie Bone, Lil Flip, MC Eiht & Compton's Most Wanted." Mr. Capone-E told Dubcnn.com in an exclusive statement.

"We haven't really spoken our minds but since this is an issue about the West I'm here letting people know we are the West. We respect Snoop for being of the pioneers of the West and we recognize what he has done, but Hi Power is blowing up with or without anyones approval period! So when it comes to vatos, we are the vatos of the West Coast. On that note I would like to show respect to Snoop on the black & brown unity." Mr. Capone-E continued.

Capone-E has a lot to say, and the full story will be told on his upcoming album "Don't Get It Twisted" due out August 29th. We've already premiered the lead single from the album a while ago, the self-titled cut "Don't Get It Twisted" featuring Twista.

Capone-E has just laced Dubcnn with yet another exclusive song from the new album called "The New West Coast" which reflects his statement. The song features Lil Eazy-E on a verse with production and talkbox by Fingazz. Hit the link to download the song:

Mr. Capone-E Feat. Lil Eazy E - The New West Coast

"Don't Get It Twisted" in stores August 29th!

I had the track on my site before you guys added it...  ;)

But it is good the see that you finally gave him a spot on the site too. Some people really need to realize that the Chicanos are running the west coast. Snoop, that big sell-out, can talk and talk and talk and saying that he is going to do this or that. But believe me or not, there won't a big change at all. I mean you gotta give him props that he is at least trying do it. I mean Capone-E is right when he says that Snoop and Dre are pioneers. But that's all they are these days. Snoop is only living from his name he still has from back in the days. His music is getting more worse with every album he releases. Artists like Capone-E, Lil Rob, Knightowl or Southland Records are getting better with every album they release at the same time. Dre, who is Dre? Is he even selling records that actually have his name on the front cover?! Dre, yes, the best beats. But where is he at?! I mean there still artists out that really put it down for the west coast like MC Eiht or E-White, people that have talent and actually release albums. Take a look at how long I am here on this site. I've seen alot people come and go in the forums and on the frontpage. Overall there are just a few that really impressed me while there pop up new and dope chicano rap releases every week.

:D ;D :D ;D :D ;D i hope that was a joke anyways people alway say chicano's are running the west running the west coast has nothing to do with rap  yea sure there running the west coast but look at the number of chicanos on the west coast and look at the number of the other races they got to run the west because they out number any other race living in the ghettos by huge numbers california is mexico but anyways i found that post funny snoop sucks now but no way Capone-E Southland Records & Knightowl are better than him and is'nt capone e from pakistan lil rob im not to sure about let me hear 1 more album because some rappers drop 1 hit track and you never see them again omar & guzzle are way better than the rappers you named alot of these vato loco rappers need to get out the 80's and get with time im feeling omar guzzle & queenie but these cholo rappers are stuck in the past

A fact is that the last albums I really liked were Daz's "R.A.W" and Kurupt's "The Streetz Iz A Mutha". After that I only picked up albums from chicano rappers and a few older releases. And trust me I have been listening to alot of samples that were posted on here. I remember all the hype because of the DPGC album. Everybody was like "yea Daz, Kurupt and Snoop on the mic back together, that's gonna be dope". Once the album was released everybody was disappointed which wasn't a surprise for me. Snoop rushes on projects like this to make a quick $. Now, does that help the west coast or not?!

LMAO. Yes... Cuz we all know the latest Southland Records albums are much better than anything Snoop has dropped in 10 years. Knightowl's new music shits all over Ice Cube's new shit hands down!!!! This fuckin' guy. Mister D is wack. Capone-E is wack. Lil Rob, wack. Knightowl, after so long of living off one or two songs, is wack. You have got to be kidding in trying to discredit Dre that way. I discredit Dre all day, but never for his ability to sale. That's one of the only things that's apparent. His name was heavily attached to 50 and Game and look at how well they did.  You have no right to speak on Hip Hop that doesn't involve dudes wearing locs, cut off shorts and white beaters, sampling Roger and Zapp or any random Oldie song heard of the Art Laboe show. That's your Hip Hop. Stick to it.

Cuz they didn't let their Label and the Media turn them into Cypress Hill Jr. They didn't sign to Major labels that wanted them to do Reggaeton instead of their signature sounding Sick Side music.

this dude mr. capone-e should not be talkin, cuz a lot of people don't know this but the real dudes do know that MR. CAPONE-E IS NO DANM mEXICAN matter of fact he aint even latin. hes from pakistan so when he getsinto all that black and brown stuff and using spanish just know hes fakin the funk.  The sad thing about it is that he doesnt deny nor admit that hes from pakistan, he just hopes he can get by with his appearence of being a mexican vato.  That aint cool and people need to know the truth, cuz if he says hes about to blow up I aint trying to have a fake representing the west coast
u feel me!

Speaking of Capone-E he did not only sample Zapp but also work with Terry "Zapp" Troutman as well. He released 2 albums ("Ol' Skool Music Vol. 1" and "Ol' Skool Music Vol. 2"). where most of the production was done by Zapp. Maybe he's not the best lyricist, but he always comes with a nice flow, good production and catchy hooks.

About Knightowl I can't agree either. I mean SGV I know what you saying there. Most of his last shit wasn't all that. But his last album "Jail Bird" is another Knightowl classic. At least in my opinion and I know many people that really know him and his music would agree.

About Southland Records I can understand that not everybody likes them but that's not my fault. Southland does have some really talented rappers like Sleepy Malo, Clumbsy Boy or Stretch (Eastside Valleros). Be on the lookout for their soon to be released CD / DVD combo "SLG Click - The Games Begun". Oh and SGV they have a deal with Bungalo / Universal now. Do you think that Universal would sign them when they are actually that wack like you saying?! Maybe they are in your opinion, just because it's not your taste of music.

About Dre I see it like this. This guy is working for 6 or even 7 years on his new CD. I mean I like his beats, but I have never really liked his raps. He's no rapper, he's producer, sound engineer or however you wanna call it. Why do you think were on the features on "2001"?! It was more a compilation produced by Dre than a Dre solo album. But to come back to the topic of him working so long on the CD he better comes with a CD that sells millions, because otherwise it was a waste of time to take so long to do a CD. He also could have done a shitty release in 3 days. I mean don't get me wrong I also think the album will be dope, but it took him way to much time to release it.

Oh and for all you chicano rap haters, Eazy-E was supporting them to fullest and when he wouldn't have died he would have brought chicano rap to the top. He was working with a group named Brownside and wanted to sign Slow Pain to Ruthless. To bad that all went down with his death. He's the real godfather of gangster rap and not Dre or Snoop. Beware there can only be on godfather.

The beat is the only thing worth listening to. Lil E uses the same lyrics in almost every song i've heard him on. Capone e doesn't lyrically come to the table with anything but junk. I wonder how much fingazz hates working with these RAnkers? but hey guess money is money huh. on the talkbox dudes the man! 8)

It's kinda right not to compare Lil Rob and Capone-E but because of other reasons. Lil Rob is an artist that has been signed to a label his whole career. So he could conentrate on what he is doing while others do the business side for him. Capone-E can't do that beacuse he's an artist and the CEO of a good doing record company. Capone-E has to overlook everything that is going on with Hi Power because it is money which is in the projects.

Man, fuck Mr. Capone-E, fake ass mexican. That muthafucka is wack as fuck, no talent what so ever. Hi-Power Ent. is garbage too, with the exception of Mr.Criminal.Only thing I ever bought 4rm Hi-Power was Bizzy Bone's Thug Revenge album & I'm planning on buying Layzie Bone's album as well, but that's only cuz Bone Thugs are the shit. Lil Rob is probably the most main-stream commerical Ese rapper out. and I can't hate on that cuz at least he doin something. But I'm not really a big fan of 'Ese Rap" and I'm mexican, but the tightest mexican rapper that's better than all them garbage rappers mentioned earlier, is Sinful. That muthafucka is off the hook, his mixtape is pure fire, and I hope he drops a new album soon. no one is fuckin with Sinful's spanish flow, period.

One thing i dont like is that Capone e isnt mexican but he talks spanish.

I cant respect someone who denys their race.  If hes from pakistan then he should be proud.  If its true that hes from Pakistan then he shouldnt be rapping with spanish.

Imagine if he would admit that hes from Pakistan, i think then his whole rap career would be over with all of hi power.

He was working with a group named Brownside and wanted to sign Slow Pain to Ruthless. To bad that all went down with his death. He's the real godfather of gangster rap and not Dre or Snoop. Beware there can only be on godfather.

Capone-e's production is the same EVERYTIME. You have no case there. You said that "people who really know Knightowl and his music" all agree with you. Of course they do, they're his friends and fans. LMAO. About Southland... Universal did NOT sign them. They get distributed through Universal. Universal is the biggest distributor in the game. They distribute for the Angeles Records, Thump Records (hence why Capone-E has Universal logos), B-Legit, Balance... etc. If it's not on Universal itself, it's a distribution deal you idiot. You don't know the game. Seriously... Just stop.

Are you serious? Do you think people never realized Dre isn't a Rapper? LMAO. Newsflash! Dr. Dre doesn't write his own shit! Everyone's known that. What kind of moron are you? Damn... Btw, anyone familiar with West Coast Hip Hop knows that he signed Frost to Ruthless. Knows that he was down with Brownside. Knows he was down with the G-Spot Gee's. You are bringing nothing new to the table. But I could really careless if Eazy E endorsed Asian Rappers... He was a business man and was trying to make a buck.

LMAO. There's a plenty of Rapping or even Producing CEO's in this game and they do fine. Don't tell me that's Capone-E's excuse. LMAO.

he admits he's half paki. but if you knew his backround and credibility....you'd probly die laughing.

Is he half mexican or what.  I dont think thats cool that he raps with spanish if hes full Paki.  He should be proud to atleast be half paki and he should say it in songs and not try to hide it.
