This cd is not that great besides 3 or 4 songs. Still a g thing tho is one of my favorite snoop song.
I was listing to this cd before and i do own a c murda cd , this dude sounds like pac sometimes.
-
This CD is wack as f***. Which is funny, seeing how Snoop said all Daz's and Warren G's records were trash after parting company with Dre.
-
This cd was different for Snoop, but there are still some bangers on there. "Snoop World" and "Get Bout it & Rowdy" are bangin for sure. I also like "Woof", "Gin & Juice 2", "20 Dollars to my Name", "DP Gangsta", "Doggz Gonna Get Ya", "Hoez, Money & Clout". Plus, "Still a G Thing" is one of the best Snoop tracks ever. Thats enough to make the cd good for me. But there ARE some wack tracks on there.

i dont give a fuck what anyone says, this always been one of my favorite records. i know artisticaly its not really a great album but for some reason i always loved this cd. i bump the record alot of times 8)
-
still a g thang is a great song, in fact I would put it on a snoops greatest hits.
Get bout it and rowdy is another real nice one. That one had snoops best flow since MWTC OST.
-
I wish they would have made a west coast g mix to that. Put all those songs over west coast beats. Because Snoop had a nice flow on it but I could not stand the beats on most of the songs. It did not mesh well with his flow.
-
what about DoggyStyle in that cardboard case...I use to have that
That was like one of the first cds i bought?
-
Snoop World was great, Hoes money and Clout, DOggs gonna get ya, and of course the incredible Still A G Thang (IMO Snoop's best song on anything besides Doggystyle.........)
HoodstaZnCrime, you really ain't down with the above songs???? I know most of the album is weak, but those songs are dope, even with Master P's wack ass rapping on SNoop World
-
He recorded the whole album in 1 week, that's the way priority did shit back then. It's essentially the first "Welcome to thaa Chuch" mixtape, that's how they record those. I think a few tracks are pretty good but the weakness of Snoop's style back then was production and more importantly mixing. He's soft spoken, always has been and to give his voice that bite that made him so nasty on "Fuck wit Dre day" and all that shit, you have to have somebody mix his shit right. I still like several songs on it, though, I didn't think hardly any were just unbearable. "Doggz gonna get cha" was my favorite back when it came out. Woof is decent, etc. Nothing mindblowing, just party music.
-
Somebody help me out... there was something special about the cover art... something about it was the first time priority had done (can't remember) for the cover, just because it was Snoop they broke their rule and did it for him. I can't remember what's different about the cover, though. It wasn't a gimmick like the foil or the special case, it had something to do with the actual art.
-
Are you thinking of the Top Dogg cover???
-

word up^

aside from a few guest appearances this has some good shit... "Still a G Thang" :pimp:
I got that cd, I like those ones... C-Murder had a green one I think
-
Yeah, dis album was alright, had a few good trackz, but TOP DOGG & THE LAST MEAL were & are dope azz album's!!
-
This albums not 2 bad, def. worth havin for a few of the tracks like Still A G Thing and Get Bout It & Rowdy, but there are some wack songs on it 2!
-
Oh yeah! You're right, it was the top dogg cover. First one that didn't have the laser shit on it.
