He has so many TIGHT beats its hard to choose, but I have to go with Put The Monkey In It- Dat Nigga Daz/Soopafly. That song is Classic!

"Cant Stop That Gangsta Shit"
- Daz Dillinger, "DPGc U Know What I'm Throwin Up"
"Welcome Home"
- Kurupt, "Streetz Iz A Mutha"
-
welcome home

Soopafly is the most underated producer on the westcoast. Dude makes sick beats, and he has variety to his beats too. His beats never sound like the same recycled shit. He can hit you with some shit like "Welcome Home" but then make a beat like "Tha Bizness" or "Bangin Westcoast". All the tracks on "Dat Whoopty Whoop" are real dope aswell.
Someone should make a "Best of Soopafly" production album.
-
Daz ft. Bad Azz - U Ain't Shit
-
Daz ft. Bad Azz - U Ain't Shit
great beat...
But i gotta go with...
"ill beacho azz"
Daz- DPGC u know what im throwin up
and a close 2nd would be "Introduction to mayhem" off that album
-
did he do It Might Sound Crazy? I'm too lazy to check
-
Best beat...I'd say Warren's "Something To Bounce To", Snoop's "Loosen Control", Mack 10's "Only In California"... 8)
-
Damn....I'd have to say "Only in California" but he has made a whole lot.
The best production I heard from him on one album was Daz's DPGC You know what I'm throwin up....he absolutely murdered that album.

alot of dope songs already been posted.. so a track that aint been said which i use to bump alot was soopaflys "Dat Whoopty Woop".. use to feel that beat alot..
-
Soopafly alwayz came with some bomb beats, but "It Might Sound Crazy" is #1 for me.
-
Damn....I'd have to say "Only in California" but he has made a whole lot.

cosign that
i wish all of Daz's cd's lately were more like this....I think Daz had more fire on this album becuz it was after he and Gotti split and he had alot of shit to get off his chest, as he took some kind of shot at Kurupt in damn near every song, although
'you aint shit" and "Ill beach azz" were the 2 most directed at him he took shots at Kurupt throughout teh album...

Yeah.that CD was definitely one of the most overlooked west coast albums of that time...I kept it in rotation the ENTIRE summer. He was takin hella shots at Kurupt. The only problem I had with the album was that like 20% of the rhymes were recycled.
-
Did not know he did Only In California
Either that or Rimz & Tirez. Can't decide.
-
I Don't Hang for sure!!
People over here didn't know who he was but when that song came on in the club 10 years ago muthafuckas lost their minds... 8)
-
i thought daz did it might sound crazy and battlecat did the rmx ?
"who got some gangsta shit" is the coldest beat from the west in a time when nobody was even checkin for big producers ...dat shit went harddddddd....only in cali ..daz was supposed to do that shit i t hink they had a little beef with mack 10 offa dat shit ..i dont hang was cold but nicaz didnt realy know em ..plus his lyrics was on point like a razor.....dj rectangle had this mixtape at the time and he killed dat shit ...damnnnnn those were the days!!!!!!speakin on slept onproducers dat cat "sean barney rubble thomas is the truth!!!

Swoop G, I heard somebody's speakin up on you

PC is the season and I don't smoke blunt
It sees the indo with skunk, I might as well get drunk
To smoke some stress, that shit'll put a hole in your chest
I only want another twenty dollar, sure got me fucked up
My hood is gettin hot and niggas is tryin ta plottin
Come up off a young nigga, call his shots
Swoop G ain't the one, I do its to be done (aah)
Al-ways have my gun and my G from 2-1
It's Cerritos but you don't hear me though cos you don't really know

daz verse was the lamest on that song "who got some gangsta shit" ..... ;D
soopafly did keyboards on dogg food/murder was the case joints too ...
-
naw soopafly did It might sound crazy, BC did the rmx
-
Here's one I forgot, but was in love with in 2001.......
Latoya Williams - Everytime....off of The Wash Soundtrack.
That was one of the dopest R&B beats that had a west coast vibe that I ever heard. It sounded so fresh and slick, and the sounds on there were amazing.
-

Yea, the remix is iller...
-
hell no, the og is way better
-
who got some gangsta shit is realy tite too
daz's dpgc u know album was tite indeed aswell, like rtistic said, only down side are daz's rhymes.... and the fact that every other track is a skit. 30-some tracks, god dayum
-
hell no, the og is way better
I love the OG, but I think the Remix has a really really sick beat, some of Battlecat's better shit...PeACe
-

the OG is a much better track.... but the remix beat is sick....
only problem is it's hard to listen to an EDITED version when you know the OG lyrics by heart, kinda irritating, to me anyway
same goes for "Just Dippin"... Battlecat came with a good beat for the remix but it sounds so lame with no natural flows
it's trying harder than hard to be clean, pretty much a waste of a beat....
someone needs to mix the acapella and the beats together with the OG's ;D
-
"may I" by snoop is his best beat in my opinion fucking classic that song shoulda been a huge single back in the day
-

That is a good mention indeed. I love that track, except in the end where LaToiya gets too screamy for my taste. The beat is definately awesome. The two of them actually made quite a team. Is LaToiya still down with Soopafly?

I have no idea, because I remember hearin that Soopafly was going to produce her entire album back in 01-02, but I never heard from it again...just as with most west coast projects.

welcome home off streets iz a mutha
yeah, i like "welcome home" thats one of kurupts best, classic
-
Al Bundy just got his hands on Soopaflys first and only CD Dat Whoopty Woop and has to say Can I Git Bucc & Everyday are some of his best beats.
-
I don't like 'Everyday'. My favourites from Dat Whoopty Woop are 'Bacc 2 L.A.', 'Like It Or Not' and 'Freak Freak'. I don't even see what people find so nice about 'Everyday'...it's a bit boring if you ask me.
-
My favorites:
Snoop - Loosen Control
Soopafly - Playin' Games
Roscoe - It's that Time Again
Kurupt - Homeboys (co produced with Daz)
-
oh I forgot about Back 2 LA, thats a real dope beat too.
