Title: Check in to hear some feel-good pop music...
Post by: CRAFTY on August 17, 2006, 08:59:58 AM
I went to a festival two days ago to see Body Count (they were dope btw!) and on that same day a Belgian band called "LaLaLover" was playing. I had never heard any of their songs, but maaaan...I was blown away as soon as they came on.
I'd describe it as feel-good pop music with hip-hop, jazz & soul influences. Seriously, these guys got skills. The next day I went out and bought their album and I must've bumped it about 10 times by now.

In fact, I'm going to a showcase in a nearby town at 9 PM this evening where they will perform. It's in a pub, so the atmosphere should be pretty relaxed 8) Can't wait...
Here are a few of their songs. It's a perfect album for the summertime:

One Piece Man (MUST-CHECK!) ---> When the chorus kicks in is a beautiful moment in the song. A track to bump in the car while driving on a sunny day 8) You'll see what I mean...

The Revelation (their newest single btw)

Enjoy the songs and feel free to leave some feedback.

Good morning everybody!
The concert yesterday was even better than at the festival. There were about 100 people present at the pub which made the atmosphere really cool.
They played for 95 minutes, so it was definitely worth the money (only 7 euros!).

The lead-singer, Tom Kestens, is responsible for arranging practically all the instruments in every song. He plays quite a lot of instruments too (keys, guitars, etc...). The entire group is talented. And during their concerts they give every band-member some time to give a solo (guitar solo, drums, bass, back-up vocalists, etc...). Overall, quality music that's made from the heart, and not under pressure of a record label. You can just feel that...
