Title: Computer Savy People, Help Me Out Real Quick
Post by: SGV on August 19, 2006, 12:42:32 PM
Ok, so I've been trying to find this song on MP3 for a long ass time, but to no avail have had no luck in my search. But, what I do have is the Video, in .MPG format. How could I extract the audio of the Video and make that into an MP3? Anyone know?

Thanks for your help in advance.

If you have a program like Vegas Video, it allows you to edit the mpg file. It separates the audio and video. You can delete the video, leaving only the audio, then save it as mp3. There is probably a much smaller program that will allow you to do what you want to do. I doubt you want to download and install Vegas just for that small task.

I've downloaded a grip of programs on Download.com and none of them seem to really work out for me. I know if I could convert it to a WMV, I have a program that will let me take the audio. But this damn MPG won't work with shit!

Thanks for the help.

Get Xilisoft converter (trial version) and go to Seriall.com to get the registration code.

Once you're registered and got full functionality, you can pretty much do anything, including ripping sound from MPEGs.
