Title: AFTER 10 YEARS OF SEARCHING, I'VE FINALLY FOUND AGAIN THE GREATEST VIDEO EVER!
Post by: TraceOneInfinite Flat Earther 96' on August 19, 2006, 02:35:25 PM
I only saw it once in Sept. of 1996, and I never saw it again.  This is the most historic hip-hop video ever.  Mysteriously, I only saw this video once on YOMTV Raps late night hours, and it's from an album that sold 2 million.  The subject of the video is the New World Order and the Illuminati trying to destroy hip-hop through the East Coast/West Coast beef (what Dre called in his Source cover that year, "the greatest case of black on black crime"), this was when Dre was experiencing his brief period of consciousness.

Well, I've been searching for this video everywhere, and I found it finally today at YouTube after I read someone's post saying YouTube plans to carry every video ever made.

Dr. Dre feat. Group Therapy:  "East Coast Killa/West Coast Killa"

Here's the link.  http://youtube.com/watch?v=9hFM3bymTxA

I don't know for sure if it's true with this particular video, Allah knows best, but in general, I honestly believe that the owners of MTV have an interest in keeping their viewers in a state of ignorant consumerism.  Viacom owns MTV, look at what happened as soon as Viacom bought BET a few years ago, they got rid of programs like Teen Summit and Tavis Smiley News program BET Tonight, and added programming like BET UNCUT.  They wouldn't air one of Little Brother's video's because they said it was "too intelligent for their audience."

Shut the fuck up.

If you hate consumerism so much, then stop listening to all these artists who embrace consumerism themselves.  You think Dre really put out "The Aftermath" for "the streets"?

Stop trying so hard to fit in with the GODS, white boy, cause you ain't ever gonna be nothing but grafted.

great song, and sure the video is rare ....

but to make a thread saying Greatest Video Ever ... come on man, the video is nothing special.

Replace the word Greatest with Rarest and that would be a more accurate description.

I remember the video. It use to play once in a while on MTV. I must have been one of the few then that saw it like 10 times. Which, since I don't watch MTV, was a bit for me. I focused on their Hip-Hop videos, so it's all good. I bought that CD, I will see if I still have it, which I doubt, but you never know. Mel Man's song on there is the shit, and there were a couple gems. Nationowl by Nowl was the shit to me. Plus RBX killed a classic Dre beat.

Co-sign.. no doubt.. I was really feelin Nationowl's contribution to that album, he kind of sounded like Hitman but his lyrics were much darker.  As for the RBX track, I don't think Dre produced it.
