Three KEY things make Nas the biggest jerk in rap.
#1= Dissing everybody in New York. YES-I understand Jigga dissed Nas as well--he's not right either-but when a city is going through tough times , it is so selfish and obnoxious for these new york rappers to STILL be battlin eachother.
#2= The comment that he wished Jay Z was in Aaliyah's plane. I REALLY hope that its proven Nas didnt say that, but I definitely wouldnt put it past him.
#3=On Stillmatic, the track that says "My country shitted on me..she wasnt good to me..etc". What kind of American would write a song talking about how shitty his country is , when his country is in the middle of a war? I dont know if this song was written before or after 9/11, but either way Nas really shouldve taken this off the album. He really crossed the line.
-
Forget that... your third point is ridiculous....
My country has shitted on me too... anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorance

like tom187um would say....shut the fuck up

first off jayz disses everyone in new york as well. nas said that it should have been jayz and damon dash in the plane instead of alliyah(RIP). so that is your opinion but my opinion is that jayz is makin alot of enemies with nas.
Peace
-
Damn, Jay-z fans are mad sensitive...Just because Nas shitted on your god don't make him disrespectful...
-
who has nas dissed in NY, Roc-a-fella, Cormega, an Prodigy, an nature, First off cormega is just jelious cuz he was taken off tha firm CD, damn why not make A big deal about the eazy-e dre beef an talk about how they are pieces of shit, Dre went overboard by dissin eazy, tim dog, an luke, hes a big piece of shit, an eazy-e, he dissed all of death row, now thats a scumbag move, dissin a shitload of people, or better yet 2pac, if any1 dissed NY it was Pac, hell i guess pac's a dick an he deserved to die just for dissin a large mass of people (note tha sarcasim), battlin is a part of rap, an 9/11 aint goin change that. Than you talk about his song, My country, now maybe he shouldnt of released that song at such a tender time, but its tru, what has been done for those in tha ghetto, he is rappin about how he feels. Lets make a big deal out of how jay-z tried to end Mobb Deep's career on tha takeover, thats a scumbag move, but ofcourse suge dont mention that. Suge shut tha fuck up, go listen to you master p CD's, your opinion on Nas dont count especially after your comment of one mic was mediocre at best an than talkin about how hot tha new master p CD was.

Nas is disrespectful? Jay-Z apologized to women everywhere for disrespecting Nas's baby's mom on his tracks.... so obviously even Jigga knows he crossed the line. What's the war got to do with conditions for a lot of people in America? not a fucking thing. for all you know that song could be mad old, but it's still on point. For a country that runs around the world to protect it's economic interests it sure can't keep its own house in order.
Nas dissed people who needed to be dissed. Cormega couldn't stop talking about Nas, Jigga/Roc dissed Nas, Prodigy fell the fuck off... Nature is suspect. You think New York residents aren't loving the battle shit? they why are they always calling in etc....
I doubt he said #2, where'd you get that ish from anyways?
either way... this thread is just a Jay-Z fan hating.
take your mans advice
"some of these sensitive thugs need hugs"
get someone to give you a hug man.
-
like tom187um would say....shut the fuck up
dang you beat me to it......
-
the only thing i agree with is the america thing but when you REALLY look at it Nas is speaking the truth....when i look at the area around my school (the mexican ghetto) it's not getting better....it's getting worse
-
I love the way you guys take a serious thread and turn it into a way to just diss ol' suge without even using common sense.
Look-I said Jay Z was wrong in the fucking original post...so this whole "sensitive thugs all need hugs thing" is silly. And I knew that you would all focus on my first reason instead of the last 2 which are obviously more important. Using Aaliyah's death as a way to get a cheap shot in on Jay-Z? REAL classy. Dissing your country when we are in the midst of a war? Come on guys--Quit being biased and at least face the issues. Just pretend that Tommy or someother buttbuddy of yours made the thread. Look at the fucking issues--please.

shut the fuck up....naw anyways, how do you know for sure if nas DID use aaliyah's death to get a cheap shot at gay-z??? and if he did, it wasn't like he was actually dissing aaliayah, he was 100% dissing dash and gay(but using the crash as an example), i mean you act like you know aaliayah in person, but i guarntee you NEVER even listen to her music not even once so stop faking like you actually miss her when you don't give a rats ass about aliayah
anyways, about the "country" thing, nas is KEEPIN IT REAL, i mean i actually give him props for standing up like that, when i guarntee you no one would've.......i mean i love america and all but the country is fucked up ever since george dulsh STOLE the presidency with the help from his brother.....the economy is fucked up, fags like bin laden is attacking killing disrespecting in your own home court...come on now...we got a retard for a president what the fuck do you expect...and that racist punk ashcroft motherfucker i mean the country is gonna go through hell for 3 more years now......

I commented on the "issues". feel free to post something resembling proof that Nas said that and i'll comment on it. until you do it's simply one of millions of rumours out on the net. I havent seen a word about it anywhere other than this thread.
I already commented about Nas saying something negative about his country... so because the economic-industrial complex driven government couldn't keep its nose out of other countries policies, and are now at war with terrorists as a result of this, Nas should just ignore what he sees everyday? I don't agree with that at all. If I could go outside and see people struggling to get by, or feed and cloth their kids while America spends billions on weapons, equipment and troops I'd certainly have something to say about it.
-
Too much Nas dick ridaz here, diss me if u want but it's true, no matter wut he will do or say you will be with him, lol its cute, I mean he dont give a fuck bout y'all... if you die he will maybe wish someone was dead with u 2
-
Without us fans Nas is nothing.... so if we don't give a shit about him, then he is not shit... period... that goes for any artist

-
Sugefight shut the fuck up and go sit on a pointed fence u mutha fucka
-
Man, i must be getting soft, I actually agree with sugefight on all three points above! Nas is very disrespectful, and yes, I've heard that quotea botu aliyah's plane, but it isn't proven if he said it yet. #1 and #3 are true, though.
-
I don't see nuthin wrong with him speaking his opinion about his country, no matter if we are in the middle of a war or not. Not everybody is "Captain America" sportin' red, white and blue and bein' patriotic all the time. I give him props since there are serious issues INSIDE our country and people need to bring them to attention instead of putting them on the backburner. And there is somethin' we have in the US called freedom of speech and he has the right to say what he wants about his country no matter what and to me thats a beautiful thing.
-

his mum woulda grounded him otherwise...
-
I've heard that quotea botu aliyah's plane, but it isn't proven if he said it yet
it could be propoganda from jay-z's camp.....
-
this is a stupid topic lol. i mean, i dont really care for Nas nowayz. but, askin whos tha most disrespectful man in rap, n then backin up tha choice by picking lyrics used in diss songz, thas kinda crazee to me. diss songz are SUPPOSED to be disrespectful. since when was we worried bout rapperz bein respectful tah eachotha. shit...did anyone see tha source awardz 2 yrz ago?! lol. but anywayz, like i said...im sho Nas is disrespectful sumtimez....jus like kurupt can be....jus like eminem can be....jus like pac used tah be....jus like a WHOLE lotta people r. get over it....itll all be ok....i promise. LOL
-

what the fuck!??... this is a west coast board... no one here runs a Nas site.. no one puts him up as their favourite artist.
if its plain to these west coast fans that Jay-Z finally got showed for what he is (and dont say i'm hating coz his shits now unpopular.. coz if u search back you'll see i've *always* said jay-z is a crock of shit).
-
Jay-Z has taken shots at everyone from LL Cool J to Prodigy to Nas.... does that make him "disrespectful" ? Some people sure have Jigga's dick in their mouth... There's nothing wrong with taking a shot at someone in a rhyme if you think they're being foul.... If Nas dissing people is disrespectful then I guess this thread is as well.
Like I said... I've seen zero proof Nas said anything.... Styles on the other hand, did. The sad thing is that most of y'all wouldn't care if it wasn't a celebrity he was talking about.
I've already said my piece about Nas speaking on America.... America has been in on a lot of foul shit around the globe and inside it's own borders... the fact that Nas is acknowledging it's not a bed of fucking roses is great in my opinion...
-

True, but selling drugs ain't exactly making the world a better place, either, is it.
-
When did Jay Z take shots at LL. I heard Canibus mention that, but when. And if he did, it's hella ironic that his on Def Jam now, a lable start because of LL, he is often compared to LL in the Nas beef.
-
"Jay-Z apologized to women everywhere for disrespecting Nas's baby's mom on his tracks"
...he has been forced from his mother.
little jigga :-*

Thank you Trauma for looking at the issues. I can hardly believe that people in here call me an asshole for starting this thread when I think it brings up some very important things. I really am sickened that Nas would write a song about America shitting on him--that is the most disrespectful thing I can imagine.
The fact that you all arent disgusted by the message and placement of the song disgusts me.
-
Suge Knight
Yeah ... F*** Suge Knight!

What's disrespectful about it? What's really disrespectful is the way that America has treated a lot of its citizens... those of the lower class denominations.. as well as all the young men who went over to fight for America in vietnam.. when they came home they got shit upon... as does anyone in america without money or connections. Is everyone supposed to put on a cape and mask and gloss over everything that's wrong with the nation all of a sudden? I guess Chuck D and Public Enemy were disrespectful... so is Dead Prez and The Coup... oh and everyone else who ever said anything negative about America.... damn, I guess hip-hop in general is pretty disrespectful.

Damn..I hate ignorant peeps. Anyways-Dead Prez are disrespectful--yes. But the purpose of the post is not Nas' message, but rather his timing. What kind of asshole would say his country is shit when his country is currently fighting for his livelyhood..for his ability to rap and speak his mind. His country is protecting him and all he has to say is negativity and hatred towards it. THAT is disrespectful. Wake up~
-
I dont really have a clue about this Jay-Z vs Nas beef. I'm not into East Coast and i dont give a fuck. Plus this is a West Coast board, so.. let's talk about West Coast.
About that Nas-JayZ shit.. i dont know the truth and i dont care, but... to diss a man by saying that you wanted him to be in the same airplane who crashed and where Aaliyah died is so.... IMMATURE. I gotta be true and admit that i dont care so much about her (i mean i'm sorry for her, R.I.P.), but.. damn.. even if i didnt even know her so well (musically), it's always a sad thing to listen to some BS! I mean Nas.. you's a rapper. A lyrical. A poet. Something like that. To use this period to diss some1 shows only how moron you are! :-/
No offence to all the Nas fans. And no offence to Nas too. I'm just saying that it aint exactly CLASS!
-
P.S.
Some1 wrote: what is America doing for Nas?
My question: what is Nas doing for America? Or what he did? If i know it right, he was just a damn fucking drug dealer. And he raps about guns, wars, killers, drug and shit. America? America (good guys) just protected his ass from terrorists. Real ones, not fake ones like him. America is trying to isolate him cause he's talking about a lot of negative things in his songs. He aint exactly a victim. A man who drives only in Benz and goes from party to party aint exactly a victim. Just cause he made 1 good album (his first one), this doesnt mean he did something for the society. And if you sell drug u aint doing something for the hood. You are doing something AGAINST the hood an against the AMERICA! And you dont have to blaime America. You have to blame your fucking mind. If they arrest you, you dont have to blaime America. You gotta THANX America cause they are doint nothing but cleaning the street from fools and ignorant victims drug dealers like you.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. I THINK THAT HE'S REALLY THE LAST GUY IN THE WHOLE U.S.A. THAT CAN DISS HIS COUNTRY. THE LAST ONE. Good topic! Good post. Props.
Oh.. and these things arent only about Nas. It's about all the rappers like Nas who talk shit about their country.
-
You bring up tha point about Nas's song, my country, how many have actually been through tha ghetto, how many of you have seen real ghetto's, I have, i didnt live in tha ghetto but i have been through them plenty of times when i used to go to work wit my dad, u look at it, an ask yourself, what tha fuck has tha country done for these people, it is a hell hole, tha cops in NYC are on a power trip an have been for a long, it aint even a race thing either b/c they treat white people like shit, just imagine how it is for a young black kid in tha ghetto, Life is a hell, that is what Nas is talkin about, he was forced to go tha way he did an i dont blame him if he feels that way about his country, sure he may have it easy now, but how did he have before he dropped an album, before he made a name for himself
-
"he was just a damn fucking drug dealer. And he raps about guns, wars, killers, drug and shit."
ANTONIO,your dear Warren G was a drug dealer too....
don't bullshit please
-
and warren g was in gangbangs(along with snoop),he was a drugdealer,so....shut the fuck up. ;)
-
You all go on about how you respect Nas on how he has spoken his mind about America and that you got freedom of speech and all, but SugeFight speaks his mind and you rip into him, thats his opinion and he is entitled to it,
I aint American so I wouldnt have as much patriotism about your country, but I mean life does go on and I'm sure Nas made those songs before all that tragedy on the 11th September, and to not release those tracks and make new ones thus making the album release even later would be a bad move, I'm sure Nas must have considred weather it was a bad move to release those songs on the album, but I guess he didnt want to keep his fans waiting, and if that is the case you got to respect how he feels for his fans,
The most disrespectful man in hip hop for me is Eazy E, and thats why I love that guy, dissing women, other artists and the police, way to go Eazy.........
Another disrespectful guy is Eminem, but isnt that what makes him a good MC, cuz he is hard hitting, I mean you couldnt imagine him singing about making love to women and shit cus that aint his thing. He is a mean muthaphucka with no-remorse and doesnt give a shit about anybody.....which is kinda cool.

I feel you Tom. Def. I know life is a bitch sometimes. Not only in the ghettos of NYC. It happens worldwide, trust me. Even in Italy. The only difference is that we dont have black people. But it's the same. Hell. But STILL i think the problem is very very different. I mean it's too easy to say "America aint doing nothing for those guys". I agree with you. Totally. But i disagree if you say that it's good to sell drugs. Or if you dont blame drug dealers just cause they too poor and their life's hell. You cant do this. U gotta step up, u gotta do whatever you can to escape the ghetto, or to live in the ghetto like a MAN. I know it's hard, BUT i know too that the drug is the easier way. Not the best one. Cause when u a drug dealer, u worse that before. You aint a star. You are wrong. You are in the sight of tha cops. You know what i mean? And you cant blame em. It's a good discussion. Very interesting, but maybe a West Coast Rap Board aint the right place to continue it. But still i feel you. I'm not saying the opposite of you. Or that you wrong. I'm just saying that, even if life is hell, to sell drug aint a good thing. You gotta be a MAN first. Cause you can MAKE you. Or at least you gotta fight to make you. Like a real MAN. I agree when you say come here and walk in a ghetto. You right. But still it aint a good thing.
About Warren G... do you think i like him as a person or what? LMAO! I know this shit. I just like his music. Not his life. Even if he raps about positive things and not about negative things. Cause he realized how bad is to bang. But still i'm not him. I'm totally different than him. I like his music. But he got his BIG mistakes too. Like me. And you. I was talking about Nas cause YOU all are talking about Nas.

Damn, i agree.

i aint sayin this in disrespect...or cuz i am from the uk...but why should he cut tracks off his album cuz of the crisis, if he made it b4 then ppl would accept that....u know it's the same with the metal gear solid game...the new one...think how long sections of the game are...think how much time and work is being put into those sections...then think why they would go and cut a whole section that big out and delay their game and half empty their pockets just cos that section has all it's missions in the twin towers....no-one would take offense to this really...
my advise is...if i died and was all ova tha news cuz i wuz murdered...would they cut out anything that would make any offense to my family and make themselves go outta pocket? would they fuck...they would say it was made b4 the event and leave it in there!
but since i am on this subject...RIP all those who died...my love goes to their familiez...fuck bin laden big time!!
-
i find it funny how Nas was apart the revamped What's Going On and a little song called rule that is just before my country but all the Nas haters want to focus on my country, which isn't even dissing the US, it's just saying it isn't perfect....read my review on Hip Hop Reviewed to see what i'm talking about
