Title: SPL - Kilmarnock 2 - 2 Rangers
Post by: Boo-Yaa † on August 27, 2006, 09:58:15 AM
(http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42020000/jpg/_42020592_naismith203b.jpg)

"Steven Naismith netted a dramatic injury-time penalty to give Kilmarnock a point against a wasteful Rangers, before he heads to Arsenal on trial.
Kris Boyd had put Rangers ahead in the first-half with a fine finish from a Dado Prso pass but after the break Frazer Wright levelled with a header.
Boyd netted again against his former club to restore the visitors' lead.
But Kilmarnock won a late penalty for Alan Hutton's handball and Naismith made no mistake from the spot."

I watched the game and have to admit Rangers did deserve to win the 3 points.

Not long back from the game and disappointed with the amount of chances we made and never took  :-\

Still early on in the season and with the amount of chances we're making we hopefully are on the verge of giving someone a doing - wouldn't be too unhappy if that day was the 23rd September :P

Looks like young Stevie Naismith could be on his way to Arsenal - he's flying down this evening or tomorrow to have a look around etc

The three favourites for the League are all not exactly on fire at the moment, struggling for narrow wins and draws and all beating one another. If one of the other teams actually put a run together it could be relatively close at the end of the season.

Could be a good move long term for Naismith - though I think that if Arsenal do sign him then they may let him stay at Killie for this season

With regards to the Boruc signatures that some people seem to have - you do release that what Boruc was cautioned for was not just 'blessing himself' but it was "included a combination of behaviour before a crowd in the charged atmosphere of an Old Firm match" & "The decision to use an alternative to prosecution in this case was based on an assessment of behaviour, not one single act, which appeared to be directed towards the crowd, which was being incited by that behaviour and which caused the police to intervene and calm the crowd."

Doesn't neccessarily mean that is what ACTUALLY happened.

Meh, im not tryna make it sound like my feelings r hurt so imagine im saying this in a laid back "i dont give a fuck" voice....

Him and my big brother were playing for Killie at the same time, but the only reason he even got there was because his dad is really high up in youth football and has plenty of clout (obviously im not saying he wasnt talented because u dont get this far with no talent)...But my big bro was getting a game ahead of him in the youth team week after week (and was the top scorrer) and after one game on the saturday my BIg Bro went out on the piss after a game (he was still only 17) so what duz Fannybaws Neismith and his dad do? Grassed him in. lol little bitch, so My bro turns up for training on the monday and finds out he is dropped, and by the end of the week had his contract terminated. lol

Like i said, iv kinda let it go my bro got a decent apprenticeship and will be moving to Australia in the next year on a huge salary so he doesnt bear any grudges. I just hope Neismiths career fails miserably coz i couldnt bring myself to cheer him at Scotland games.

that's a shame for your bro, why doesn't he play in lower division football?

he might end up moving up and up and up.  my mate seems to be going that way, you heard of jamie stevenson?

he signed this season for morton after moving from alloa.

This may seem unbelievable but he got trials at motherwell, but when he got to the contract signing page, they talked to his old coach at killie (eric somethin or other) and he gave him a bad reference so to speak, saying he was unreliable etc etc becuase of one night on the piss. After that he kinda lost the passion and just played for a (succesful) Amatuer team.

And no i havent heard of the lad, i will have a look

that really sucks, sounds that if he was good enough to get to that stage he should stuck with it and surely good things would have happened eventually.
