I'd have to say this is my favorite track from "Laugh Now, Cry Later", the sample fits the beat real good & Cube's lyrics talkin' about growing up, meeting Yella & Dre, his N.W.A. days up 'til now...the beat is real smooth but bangin' at the same time, you don't hear many beats like on "Growin' Up" these days... 8)

Yeah it was a good track

this should be a single

yeah, this track was awesome! one of the best tracks on LNCL, but not the best...
-
First time i heard it, it gave me a feeling like "Today Was A Good Day" did when i first heard it
single is a great idea,
chill
-
My favorite track is why we thugs...months after this album dropped im still disapointed in the beats tho.
-
Imo, the best one is "Spittin Pollaseeds" no surprise, cause of Koka & WC... There won't be another single, cause "Go To Church" flopped hard.

fa sho....this is the kinda beat that makes you just nod your head

I don't think this would do good as a single. lets face it, rap has changed since "it was a good day" was released. I highly doubt that song would be popular today. But I do love that growin' up track. I hope LNCL, goes gold. It's pretty close, so I guess will see.

This track is nice, one of thebest tracks on LNCL and like sum1 else sed, it has the feelin of Today Was A Good Day!
-
This probably was my favorite song, and I was trippin out when I first heard it like damn, this is epic!
But from playin it for people who aren't modern day Cube fans, they all thought it sucked, and thought Cube sounded hella old and played out on it.

I cant believe I still havnt heard this album, ne1 want to hook it up for the General ;D

I don't think this would be a good single, it just doesn't have appeal to the average music fan. Any lover of hip hop would love this, because like WestCoastin' said he's talking about growing up, meeting Yella & Dre, his N.W.A. days up 'til now. Definatly one of the highlight tracks on the album, but I thought Why We Thugs, Chrome & Paint, Go to Church, Smoke Some Weed, and maybe even Child Support were better.

^Yup...I still think he could use Growin' Up at least as a b-side for another single if Growin' Up isn't picked as a real single...

i like the story & it's cool that he's giving props to Eazy-E.
i used to have this song on my mp3 player, but the instrumental bored me so i deleted it :P
don't get me wrong, the laidback beat fits the story perfectly & Cube's delivery is great, but i wish the song had a better laidback beat.
