ok...a few weeks ago i had my money ready to go to leigh central music zone and buy nate dogg'z new album...dre chronicles and cubes greatest hits...but then my friend said to me "don't bother paying full price...i have all cubes songs on my computer...i'll burn them for you, if you wait a couple of weeks i will get all nate doggz songs too, he said i already have all the songs on the new dre album so there was no point getting it" it's true about the dre album...but being a fan i still wanted it to add to my collection...but anywayz i told my mate to fuck off and i bought the albums anyway...
am i crazy or do all you fans like to buy the original albums too?? it isn't only that i want to give money to tha rappaz...but i like to say i have a real copy of the album....i think that makes me a better fan than them too. the only burned album i have is an unofficial album which has all the soundtracks subbmissions on that one cd.to save me buying loads of soundtracks that i don't really like!!
the basic question is...do u like to buy a real copy of the albums too?

I support artists, I support hip-hop music, I'm not a fucking leach of society.... I buy music, you have to have the experience of getting your money together and buying the real authentic album to fully appreciate the record.

i buy tha albums but i usually download it first to see if its worth it, if its wack an its not an artist i really dont care for i'll burn but say its an artist i like i'll proberly buy it no matter what, i have a lot of burned CD's of mixes an shit or i'll make my own personal greatest hits, now that i think about tha only albums i have burne are than there was x, infinite, an tha slim shady ep, an straight outta compton 10 year anniversery album an tha only reason i have them eminem albums burned are b/c they are impossible to find

it's great to burn! rap has gone downhill severely (fabolous is here to change that though) and the last legit album i bought was in 1998 - capital punishment.

I download them as I dont have a CD Player no more, I only really listen to my music on the PC, I got a nice speaker system for it, but I'm trying to get hold of albums second hand so I guess I'm a 50/50 leach, I refuse to pay £13+ for a cd, I dunno thats just how I am, and we all now the artist gets about 0.2% of all sales, so whats the point.
And as for people saying if you dont but there music your not real fans, I'm listening to it arent I, instead of something like N Sync and Britney,
Id much rather spend my money on there merchindise ie posters, mags, clothing and DVDs etc

2 messages up from this: u are still a fan even if u burn albums...just not as good a fan as the ones who buy originals...where abouts in uk do u live?? because music zone is £9.99 or less for a single cd LP, u should go there...some of snoops oldest albums...the classic ones to us...they are now £6.99 in the special offer thingy...and also...u aint giving them money by buying postaz and mags...1.they don't really get payed when u buy a magazine they have been interviewed with..02. if u buy postaz from ur local market...they have printed and laminated them themselvez...and even gb posters aren't actually affiliated with the artists themselves...they mainly make posters for when they tour here...
but u are right £14 is a rip off 4 a cd...but get ur azz down to ur local music zone!

I always buy originals too. Though sometimes I download a few songs in advance to see if the album's worth it. I am guilty of one thing, though: I've got Nate's album on mp3's on my computer, but for a perfectly good reason: You can't get it in Finland. I could order it from a webstore, but it would cost almost double the price. I couldn't buy Return of the Regulator or Deuces 'n Trayz from the record stores either, but I ordered those. But Nate's is soooo expensive.

ditto... i buy every single DPG related release (even the death row stuff like snoops greatest hits, the chronicle and 2002) and anything else thats dope...
