Damn, his new album only sold 40,000 copies in its first week. This is horrrible. I don't know what is gonna happen with westcoast rap. If our rappers keep flopping, westcoast rap might totally disappear from the map.

yeah, its not just westcoast rap. it's anybody who records an album and sells it. if you havent noticed piracy among other things is sending the whole record industry down the fuckin tubes.

Did you really expect Short to produce better numbers then 40,000 in it's first week?
I mean "Blow the Whistle" has been out for months and even with Short moving to the south and the south being able to push out almost any type of music they want and have it go gold or plat, no one outside of the Bay and maybe ATL and surrounding areas is checc'n for another Too Short full album. Not to say Short can't bang out a couple of heaters, but this isn't the late 80's or early 90's where he had most of his success.

Exactly. 40 K IS NOT bad for 1st week sales, especially in this year. Alot of people don't even know Short's album is out yuet. At lest he will probably sell 150K or something. That's really not bad figures, especially for an artist as old as Too Short.

which clubs? because that record got ZERO spins on clubs in the east coast
I figured it got played in the East just because it's a club song...but it got played a lot all throughout the south, and it's more clubs and people in the south than east so that's still a lot of people that were exposed to it.
