Title: Is buying ex demo models safe?
Post by: Sweet & Tender Hooligan on September 11, 2006, 10:32:47 PM
Im buying a cell phone on trade me (NZ equivalent of Ebay) and it says "Ex demo"....what does that mean? Does it still have all the functions of a regular cell phone?

it means its second hand... never trust auction web-sites...

and the phone may be a branded model, ie. branded to vodafone, or orange... meaning you can use any network on it, but some phone functions are reserved to vodafone or orange, such as mp3 ringtone...

It means it was 'on the floor' and a gang of folks sampled it and played around with it.  I'd avoid it .
