BEYOND!!! AND DANGEROUS!! HAHHA :o

Mobb Deeps album and Dazs album are about the same. It depends on your taste if you like eastcoast or westcoast vibe better.
BTW Im suprised nobody is dissing Daz for making poppy, club tracks since a lot of artists from different regions get a lot of hate for doing it...

I didn't buy it, but I have the web rip of it....With all the hype about this record, I was expecting something different then what was finnally released....Not impressed with the album at all, there's maybe like 3 cuts that I would listen to on a regular, but for the most part this album has no replay value and will be forgotten by the end of the year...
4/10

I like how JD stayed behind the scenes with this one. It had a nice mixture of tracks south and west to give it a universal feel (kinda like 40's and Cube's). Daz's production sounds alot more up to date and him and Soopafly co produce they have some heat. Short album but it is bangin.

good summary, on point

Personally i thought this CD was damned dope, it reminded me of oldschool Daz stuff
My favourite songs have gotta be Rat A Tat Tat, Strizap, Weekend (that shits bangin), Badder than a mutha
shit every song is dope
As for the skits, i think they should of been seperate songs, but they still gave me a laugh.
this album is 8.5/10 for sure and is one of the best out this year
-
all the tracks are dope. The only track I skip is The One.
-

yeah. he tried to do something really different, and it ended up being shit for the most part.

BTW, I just copped the CD + DVD combo at Best Buy, it was $19.99. Who else got the DVD? It was a pretty good DVD, they made a video for damn near every song on the album (even though its mostly Daz street videos) and I FINALLY got to see the Daz Thang video, which IMO was fuckin awesome. You should defnitely cop the DVD too, just to support Daz. They also included some footage of their performances at HOB at the Cube shows, I was pissed I wasn't in the footage of the crowd, if they would have just moved the camera to the right a little more I woulda been in it.
-
I picked up the CD/DVD one. The DVD is cool but I'd probably won't watch it all the time.
-
if you a daz fan, i think you'd really love it.. i think jd brought out daz's personality more on the album.. and you can actually understand his lyrics the first time you hear it.. it's more smoothier.
so so gangsta = revenge retaliation and get back
however, if you're not a daz fan, you will only like a few songs and thats for the guest features, the beats and/or the rhymes..
7/10

4 mics

good to hear daz real voice..lol...
-
I got it yesterday the beats was on point and Daz brought his A game with the flow so what more could you ask for good music & good flows = Tight album but it would have been much better if he had Boyz n the hood , and the song with Redman !!!!!!! 8) 8)
-
I got it, and I've heard about 8-9 tracks in full and skimmed through the last few.
It sounds like it is probably a 7/10 album. For it to be so short, there should have been a few more strong tracks, and there shouldn't have been any filler songs. However, the filler songs aren't wack at all....they just don't sound like anything special or anything I will want to listen to every time I play the CD.
DPG 4 Life is the best song, at least the best aside from the singles that I've heard 200 times now. "Bad than a mafucka" is fire to me, even though I can see some people labeling it as poppy or whatever. It sounds hella JD, but it has a nice funk feel to it.
Personally....this is probably my second or third favorite Daz album. I was never a fan of RR&GB or Raw...the sound on there just wasn't hittin me hard enough. My favorite album of his is actually "DPGC You know what I'm throwin up" because the production on there was great, and it had 10-12 dope songs on there....only problem with it was his recycled rhymes on every track.
