reasons why The Last Meal deserves a 1.5:
1. the beats are boring. Snoop could have brought a couple of the producers that made NL Top Dogg tight (Ant Banks, DJ Quik) and get Warren G and Daz to produce some shit, and this album would have at least some hot beats. But Jelly Roll and Scott Scortch made mediocre beats, at best.
2. Kokane. If I wanted to listen to George Clinton, I'd buy a George Clinton cd instead of listing to this imposter ruin every fuckin song he was on, which was unfortunately half the album. Snoop should have had Nate Dogg and Butch do the majority of the hooks, and maybe get Raphael Saddiq to do some hooks as well.
3. Snoop brought little or no emotion to the tracks. With the exception of "Issues", Snoop sounded very lazy while rapping, and at times he even sounded like he was just talking. It's a shame that the only time there's some energy on the track, it's courtesy of Master P and Magic. His voice, along with the beats provided, could put someone to sleep.
At least with Restless, Xzibit brought some energy, had tighter beats, and didn't have to rely on a George Clinton imposter to carry half his album.

Last Meal...Snoop brings different styles of rapping while Xzibit strictly raps the same way throughout the album...The beats are about even...They're both dope though...

The raps are BETTER than "Tha Last Meal." Xzibit and co come tighter than Snoop and co.
The beats? I think tracks like "Get Yo Walk On," "X," "Front 2 Back" and "D.N.A." edge out some wack joints off of "Tha Last Meal" like "Back Up Off Me" and "I Can't Swim."

if ya was like to hear both of them at the same time one after another, you would think that restless was alot better, well i did anyways, but the last meal is a album that grows on ya with time personally i think restless was more consistant than tha last meal cuz all the tracks on it were worth bein on the album while on snoops album, ya just need to hit the skip button on it. id giv last meal 4-cuz it did have some bangers like hennessey n buddah and wrong idea and tru lies but the worser tracks on it were simply wack! while id giv xzibit about 4.25 cuz the only track on it i aint feelin was the krs one........u know like everyone loves 'get ya walk on' imma be real, when i first heard that song i didnt think it was all that, i think the vid helped it but its still a kool song but i think the great song on his album was 'best of things' but what his album was lackin that snoops album had was a chill out factor for when ya havin a smoke while snoops labum lacked hard egded lyrics consistantely which made it abit week. overall i go fo restless

when i first bougt them Restless was the better record but now i'd have to say Last Meal becuase all the track on Restless (except 4 song) have no replay value, but the last meal gets better within time

Last Meal. i liked Restless more at the start but it got played out quick. on the otherhand i thought Last meal sucked at the start but it kept geting better everytime you heard it.
