Hmmm, Mitchy SLick & Glasses are too good of emcees to make it big time unfortunatkey.
Crook will never release an album probably.
I think 07 will be the year of Done Deal: Ya Boy, Bailey & Big Rich.

Bishop Lamont will have a good year too.

Bishop isn't going to drop in 07. Crooked I will get pushed back and be forgotten. So it's between Mitchy and Glasses. I think it'll be Glasses Malone.

I'm hoping it will be Ya Boy, but Bailey has a better chance of being accepted on a major, commerical level. Ya Boy is very close to being signed, if he isn't already.

Bailey? Ive only heard him a couple of times but he isnt good at all and he has no buzz at all, kind of shocked to see him on this list.  Im going with Ya Boy.  I would love to say Crooked but I just dont see that happening.

I'd say Bailey had a very good buzz, especially with his video for U-C It getting heavy rotation on MTV Jams. I strongly suggest picking up the album Champ Bailey. I never said any thing bad about Ya Boy, but he is a more hardcore artist than Bailey is, so I just think Bai has more crossover appeal.

Yeah that is true Ya Boy could be considered to hardcore to appeal to the mainstream, he got alot of buzz with his 100 bars track but I see what you are saying.

It's sad for me to say this, but I think the chances of any of those artists making a big splash (or in your words "shining") isn't all too great. I see Glasses as probably the artist with the biggest chance because he seems to know how to put together songs....it is just that the pattern of us predicting people like Crooked I blowing up every year is getting old, especially since we've never accurately guessed (mostly due to the fact that only one westcoast rapper has blown up big time in the last six years).

I hope that these artists/labels will take time with the records and really search for a sound that will capture people's attention.

image wouldn't matter if he puts out a track that becomes a hit.  With that said, Ya Boy probably has the best shot of making an impact

Of course it does. People fall in love with an image. If they didn't Game & Dipset wouldnt have fans. ( its all about the music lol ).

As far as having an ok year, all those guys will shine. But as far as true stand outs go, Bishop Lamont and Stat Quo will shine Supreme as long as there albums drop.

P.S.- If detox drops in '07, Dre will outshine all new comers.

I just hope they all get their just due. It is time to switch it up, new breed, new blood, new life. I always tell people the west will always be up for brags, it is just people(rappers) give themselves to many titles like it's 93, 2003, 04, 05, 06. Move on people we feel sometimes end up dying, make bad business moves, or are held up by the rapper they're rolling with.
