Title: Do people still listen to Reggae?
Post by: Noname on September 18, 2006, 11:15:10 AM
And i mean really listen to Reggae. Not just Bob Marley and UB40. I have to say i still love Reggae, i listen to it a lot especially when its hot. I like
- Buju Banton
- Sizzla
- Capleton
- Ziggy Marley
- Super Cat
- TOK

And a whole lot more. But back in the day Reggae was huge, just ask your parents. but nowadays it really isnt popular anymore. And thats a shame cuz they had a lot of dope music.

So any people still listen to Reggae?

I still listen to a lot of old school reggae and a lot of dub like King Tubby and Mad Professor

Not into Dancehall or any of the more "shouty" reggae though

In my opinion there hasn't been one solid reggae artist since Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.

Dancehall music doesn't sound like actual reggae to me it just sounds like a bunch of people rappin jamaican.
