Yo. At the end of the day, i really think us as fans are responible for this beef shit on the west coast. I mean look at us, we are constantly picking sides...not over the music per se'. But in regards to who beat whos' ass. That shit does not matter. Hip-Hop was founded as a way to stop violence in the streets and look at us, we're supporting it and picking sides. Then you got niggas like Game and Rass Kass (who i am disappointed with) making videos and shit giving sides of their story. If we want the west coat to come back..us as fans are going to have to stand up and say that this shit is wack. Most of us are men we are not bitches... so why do we like this type of drama?

fuck it, man. who are you to tell artists not to do what...let them be. I agree with support good music...but at the same time..it ain't nothing new. many fans been doing that..yet rappers ain't got ears to hear what we want. Hip hop was only for stop violence...but it's really the message giving music...
so basically a rapper could talk about he got raped in jail and say, "fuck the jail."
fans don't just dictated their shines...business industry do as well... both are needed...lol

my bottom line is this. if we want the west coast to come back. dont support the bullshit. thats all im sayin. and by us supporting beefs umongst west coast artist we arent doing anything but keeping the west coast from progessing. it has to start somewhere and the rappers arnt going to do it because they want the cheese beef comes with. it has to start somewhere...and if we dont support beefs do u think these artist will actually partake in it? noooooooooo. because it doenst make them money....they cycle has to end somewhere

I agree with you on your point but just speaking for myself and probably over half of the members in here, we do not support the Ras/Game beef. I can still like the 2 and buy their albums but I think their beef is CB4. The artists are the ones in most cases that do stunts like this youtube bs and try to sway the opinions of fans. This ain't no election. Ras Kass ain't gonna make me hate Game more or not buy his record because he said he punched him in the eye. Now if Ras is selling Hush Little Baby as a single, then yeah he tryin to make money off of the beef. Then again if there are 20+ tracks on a album and 1 so happens to be a diss track that is not going to make me not buy it either.

they may be "grown men" physically, but definately not mentally... they dont know how to work together so obviously theyre gonna beef with each other... they think "well im not friends with this dude, so ill diss him"... its like theres no in-between for them

I agree, and disagree. Muhafuckas out here on the West beef a lot, but they beef in NY too...and it doesnt hurt them. The West not bein on top has nothing to do with beef. Did the Nas/ Jay Z beef hurt either career? No. Ja/50's beef hurt Ja's career, but catapulted 50's. They been beefin out there since the beginnin of rap, so why do we blame our beefs for the reason that artist aint succeeding? Rappers out here need to unite, but unite with the intention of blowin this shit up. But you need more major artists from the West speakin up. A Ras Kass/Game beef aint gonna hurt, or help either one of em. Game's career aint gonna go down because of it, and Ras still wont sell records after it. Shit, i personally like listenin to some beef on records. But dont blame little beefs like this for the reason we aint ontop.

I think a lot of this is some weird obsession with whether someone is a real gangster or not, or is someone really hard or not. This obsession runs amok when it comes to west coast rap, which is why you see all of this posturing from west coast rappers. This doesn't happen in the same degree in the south or the east. Many fans of west coast music seem more concerned with street credibility than musical quality, which is why all this tough guy posturing is prevalent. The funny thing is that it turns off normal fans who just want to hear good music.
The west coast is fuckin itself right now. Personally all of this bullshit tough guy posturing and synthetic gangsterism is turning me off to west coast rap, honestly.
