Not really much news, but Reggie Fils-Amie the president of Nintendo, confirmed recently that Nintendo is in talks with Take-Two... They're currently working on a baseball game for the Wii, but Reggie claims that the Wii will have much more M rated content than the Gamecube, and the rumours are a Wii GTA game is in the works. "The Godfather" is already scheduled for the Wii, very similar to the GTA series.

Oh god no, if i'm not mistaken take-two now owns 2ksports, which owns the mlb license. They cant get their fucking MLB game right on just one next gen console, much less on all 3 consoles, probably trying to make the wii version unique. And now they're supposedly putting out TWO baseball games next year, one being more simulation and one being an arcade style game. Fuck.
As far as GTA goes, I don't think I would get it for the Wii. Seems like a game that'd be more enjoybale on 360.

yea id be very surprised to see GTA on wii,i think its a long shot, but who knows
-
it could be that "bully" game.. but GTA would be dope with the wii-mote
-
I'd like to see Rockstar' s Table Tennis on Wii.
Oh yeah, here's another rumour - Amiga games coming to Virtual Console.
Amiga owned all back in the day :)

Right now i just want r-type from pc-engine and i'll be happy

I'm not positive, but Nintendo owns R*type, I believe. The first R*Type was a Nintendo Arcade game, very beautiful, too, I might add... lemme find a pic.

I believe Irem designed the game, but Nintendo released it and distributed it. The cabinet's solid black with purple and blue artwork.

nah I'm sure irem own it...
r-type has been original gameboy, snes and GBA
whereas its been on ps1, ps2 and is coming on ps3
nintendo would have put it on n64 and GC given the chance..
Irem's techies wrote r-type http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irem_%28company%29
and NOA published it in the states.. Irem in japan..

:)
oh and I've heard rumours a FULL BLOWN R-Type may be coming to WII... no proof yet tho! **drools** may be related to the below..
but just found this "It is one of the first games confirmed for Nintendo's Virtual Console " which is the pc-engine version many consider to be better then the arcade version
-
I've been looking to pick up the arcade version for a long time now. I have a slight collection of my favorite cabinets, Ms. pac man, Millipede, Playchoice10, Donkey Kong Jr, Breakout, Mortal Kombat, and a beatles-inspired pinball named Beat time. I want an R*Type but I never find one near me for a good price.
-
yeah i bet its desirable.. ;D
-
I hope GTA goes to Wii then I'd definetly buy it
-
if WII gets GTA , i'll probably get the Wii
-
GTA on the wii would be dope.. to date the 'best' (technically) version of GTA was San Andreas on the XBox (which is why sony cock blocked the release...).. however wii is faster to develop for.. and superior to the original xbox in power.. can you imagine how immersive GTA will be with the wii-mote? from beating people with hammers and bats n shit to picking them out with gun shots etc..
