Snoop spitting a 11/10 verse and Dre maybe spittin maybe the greatest ryhmes he's ever done all on a mutha fukkin classic Dre beat
it's really the only duo song that can rival Nuthin But G Thang, and the track is MUCH better then many tracks from both Chronic and Doggystyle
this track being cut from Doggystyle is on of the greatest tradegies is rap history
If Dre would release OG Next Episode in CDQ instead of Detox I would be fine with that
-
The track is 10/10 dunno about being better than 90% of the tracks from Chronic and Doggystyle though. Most of them were 10/10 too.

they were, but this is one of those rare 11/10 tracks
-
I have it in CDQ ;D
-
you can't really say its better because we haven't even heard it in good quality.
-
I love the song man, but to me peeps have just built it up way too much over the years.
Woulda been great on either album, but the production ain't touching at least half the songs on both Doggystyle or Chronic. Definitely dope song though

Hook it up or DIE!!!!
-

yeah for real i obviously don't have it in CDQ i have the same version everyone else has and it sounds like shit
-
Dope track! Wud certainly luv 2 hear it in CDQ!
-
I don’t think we’ll ever hear it in real CD quality. If it ever surfaces then it will probably be off cassette from someone who was around during that time. But any medium that track is on is now about 14 years old so it doesn’t look good quality wise. Chances are if it was cut from the release early on then Dre probably didn’t mix it either.
Hopes for an official release are laughable considering Dre would never clear it or associate himself with Suge for obvious reasons and he’s still capable of cranking out music that makes sales of his old stuff look like peanuts. Maybe if rights/masters are sold to some neutral 3rd party we could see old stuff in the form of a Doggystyle Deluxe Edition type of thing but that’s the only hope we really have IMO.
BTW who released the shitty quality version?? Has anyone asked them for a better quality one!?! lol

Wasn't this a Warren beat, or maybe that was Doggystyle?
-
i wish someone would up the bad version just so i could hear it. :(
-
Suge released unheard of Snoop and 'Pac tracks, I was always hoping he'd release some Dre hits like Next Episode. I'd put out a Dr. Dre's Death Row's Greatest Hits, have of course Chronic tracks, then go into Keep Their Heads Ringing, and California Love OG, full version that's never been offically released, and then top it off with Next Episode, and maybe some production tracks, like Doggystyle, and Blunt Time by 2Pac is that truly exist. SOMEONE, GET THAT LIBRARY!!!.

Yeah, do we know who leaked it?
90% sure that it was released on the Foesum website back in the day
-
I wish someone would re-up it. (Note to Overseer...that is not an audio request. I am just stating that I would like for someone to re-up the song, but I am not requesting it. Although if someone were to up it I would be very thankful).

So they probably got it from snoop back before they signed. Can we hook up an interview or something, get the contact info and ask them about it. Fuck it I'll do it I dont care. Maybe Dubcnn could hook it up, imagine dubcnn bringing that track to light. whoa.

Im confused here!!! Isnt "The Next Episode" off the Doggystyle album just a 1 minute skit w/ Sam Sneed in it?? Because I have the OG album that also comes with the Cz Up Hoez Down song too. Whats all this you guys talk about with Snoop and Dre spitting tight versus and shit??!! Fill me in on the details people.
-
Damn, that was a nice track, I think Warren might have scraped or reused something similar with "Runnin With No Breaks" off Regulate, Tha G-Funk Era because the beats sound too similar, plus the whole LBCrew was behind Chonric/Doggystyle, etc and Warren/Dre being brothers, I guess it'd somewhat make sense.

No, that's the "Pump Pump Intro" called "U Betta Recognize". The track they are talking about wasn't on the cd but on the back cover and featured Dr.Dre. "prominent" posted a link above, check it out if you don't know the track. You won't regret it. 8)

It's a story to that....I remember reading it on here. Something about how Warren may have been the one who found the sample and brought it to Dre n Snoop, but they didn't get it cleared and he could get it cleared, maybe because he was with a different company...but it was somethin like that.
But personally...I only heard the Low Quality version, and even with that, I think this track was built off of TOO MUCH hype, just like "No bacctraccin" and a few other tracks that we never got to hear in CDQ. It definitely wasn't sounding better than the epic songs from those albums, such as "Dre day" "Let me ride" "Ain't no fun" "Gin n juice" "What's my name" "Tha shiznit" "Bitches ain't shit" and "Doggy Dogg World".
-
***Listening to it now***
Sounds dope, but the quality is really tooooo bad for me to feel it and really judge it against other songs. Snoop was definitely rippin it, but for some reason, the song sounds more like a Chronic track than Doggystyle.
Personally....I like the new "Next episode" a lot better. But it's unfair judgin this track since I can't hear it in high quality.
-
tbh i prefered Doggystyle w/ George Clinton than this but both are fire no doubt....

i think it's more likely dre produced it and gave it to warren when it wasn't on DS. also, the track doggystyle is equally dope to the og next episode. can someone re-hook up the track doggystyle? i no longer have a copy...there's no cdq of that either right?

warren said that he produced that at one interview . but you know , suge didn't like warren
-
which interview? In later interviews with Dubcnn, snoop and warren go on to say it was aaaaallll dre.

LMAO...you're definitely a new cat. Nobody in the world seems to have these in CDQ, except for Suge and Dre...if they have it. Snoop even said he hasn't heard the original Next Episode since back in 93. I bet it's people on Dubcc who can recite Snoop's verse from it, and he prolly can't.
-

-T
come on man , everybody knows that daz and warren had uncredited production , no matter what snoop says , and warren never said that was all about dre . dubcnn isn't the only site or magazine that interviews rappers ;)
-
nah man, check the first warren g interview after snoop speaks on that shit and g-dub falls in line. where nima asks him about that shit. warren g says something to the effect of "it was all dre, the nigga is a genius".yes, i know daz claimed that shit but daz claims all kiiiinds of shit. yeah they may have fucked around a little but SOMEone would have been in the studio with dre if they weren't there and those someones would go on to be dope producers because of their time with dre too. -T
-
actually, if you refer to one of my old posts.. you'll find that Warren G is indeed the producer of "Next Episode", straight from Snoop's mouth.

Never heard either :( I'd much appreciate to hear both tracks in bad quality. big props in advance.
-
You guys are seriously overrating that track.
-
I have it in poor quality like everyone else and it is too hard to judge whether it is as good as the tracks on Chronic and Doggystyle, but what I can tell is the beat is smooth as fuck and Snoop flow is :o, I can't really make out all his lyrics but he kills it on flow alone...

^^ I think R-tistic meant that you were a new cat to this forum, not to hip hop in general. Because if you've been hanging around this forum, you would definitely know that those songs do not exist in CDQ at this moment, despite what some may say. but anyways, welcome to the board.
-
This isn't better than any of the songs on Doggystyle, except for maybe Pump Pump and if u count Gz Up Hoez Down.
-

It's impossible to put out a Dr. Dre's greatest hits, dont' you think they would have by now? When Dre bounced from Death Row, he left Suge with his half of the company, and had Suge sign a contract saying he would only release Dre's music in the manner in which it was originally intended. Suge signed it (since Dre's half of the company was worth, what, 80 mil?) but in doing so it totally protected Dre's artistic integrity. That's why not 1 fucking Dre thing has leaked or came out since then.
He can re-release the Chronic, but he can't add or subtract any tracks because that would be breaking the 'manner in which it was originally intended' clause in the contract.
He tried doing that with "Chronic 2000" or whateve rthe fuck that was going to be but Dre sued his ass in court and won.
That's probably the only good business move Dre ever made... well, not really because it's not really worth 80 million dollars. LOL.
As for og next episode, overrated. Beat is nothing special, Snoop's a little overdoing it in my opinion. Still great but not better than 90% of doggystyle/chronic.
-
snoop or dre will never top the OG Chronic and doggystyle albums... ??? @ this thread...

I think R-tistic meant that u were a new cat2this forum,not2hip hop in general. Because if you've been hanging around this forum,u would know that those songs do not exist in CDQ
I'm been watching over this forum&site for MANY years as a wathcher
Not as a poster. I KNOW that it there is not any CDQ,I just refered2the one
that was boasting that he got it
Oh I feel u...I defintely wasn't tryin to play u like u were new to Hip Hop, because if you were, you'd be like "what??? You mean they made a Next Episode before they did on Chronic 2001??" but everybody on this board has been tryin to get that track in CDQ for about 4-5 years. Welcome 2 the board tho, good to see people who've been around on here.
