Title: Statlanta, is it or isn't it?
Post by: Invincible on September 24, 2006, 06:43:45 PM
When the hell is 'Statlanta' bein released?

it's been put back on numerous occasions and they still don't have a release date for it. First heard about it 2 or 3 years ago now ain't it.

If 'Like That is anything to go by it should be a decent album. That is a dope track.

Dre and Em, fill us in on whats goin on.

A buddy of mine just got a job being some kind of manager for Shady Records and he says that they almost completed 'Statlanta' but Stat Quo decided to record a whole bunch of other tracks to chose from to put on the album and the new single will come out sometime between October and November.

That's how I always felt. Dude never stood out to me. He's always been generic. Who's really lookin' for him?

Stat Quo sucks. They probably signed him because South is "in" right now.

Since he is signed to Aftermath he probably won't come out (no loss though, he's shit). Aftermath has a policy of signing like 6 artists releasing albums from 2 then dropping the rest.

^^ but he's also co-signed to Shady... and the album is practically done. I dont know why all the hate towards Stat, he's had some dope tracks and he's a solid rapper for a down south artists. Plus he's got the "attitude" of an artist and a distinqueshed voice.

Dre definately wants to push his empire to the South, so Stat is definately coming. We'll be getting "Statlanta" by the end of this year or the first quarter of next year, and he will definately be on DETOX.

you'd expect those albums that do get released (busta rhymes) to be a whole lot better, have the correct promotion and sell loads. aftermath is a turkey until they release some hot shit again. if the music is as good as it can be the sales should follow.
