Title: Did Rakim actually record any songs at Aftermath besides...
Post by: Noname on September 26, 2006, 10:07:31 AM
Did Rakim actually record any songs at Aftermath besides Afther you die. It sounded like a dope collabo, one of the best producers in the game with one of the best rappers in the game. But to be honest i dont really think Rakim would fit into Dre's style, cuz his flow and voice are to East Coast imo, and to really fit in with eachother one of them had to change their style to much. And that isnt a good thing. I think After you die is a nice song but nothing really special for them. Cuz we all know they can do a lot better.

We know they recorded Afther you die, but are there anymore leaked or recorded tracks that arent released?

In some interviews, he said he did 3 songs with Dre... for the rest there wasn't much details.. outside Em, Truth were meant to be on the album, Premo as well

Yeah, nothing Dre produced. There was that R.A.K.I.M. track on 8 Mile OST, but Dre didn't do it.

So basically his new album will contain tracks he did on aftermath?

Also has anyone got the full version of that Rakim track? I don't want the one from the Mixtape.

I haven't been around for a while..

Tracks that he recorded on Aftermath that were released:
Addictive, Addictive ( Remix ), R.A.K.I.M. & The Watcher II

Tracks that he recorded on Aftermath that leaked:
After U Die

Also, it's been confirmed that Mary J Blige's "Family Affair" and 50 Cent's "Heat" were originally for Rakim. Also "G'd Up" was rumored to be Ra's, prior to Dre giving it to G-Unit.

a different version of Hate it or Love it might have been one of the later tracks Ra recorded at Aftermath, as well as a track with M.O.P which might have also featured someone else. Apparently he recorded some tracks with DJ Clark Kent as well.
