why? The black people here are pretty laid-back, they come from the most fukd regions of Africa, they gettin a new start here.....Damn I love Australia. But no, Africans dont really tolerate the nigger word, say it and you will be greeted with a look of utter horror. Yes, I feel that black people complain about getting stereotyped too much when they actually do these things and rather than change their behavior so people can't say that they do the stereotype they just keep doing it. It has just bothered me lately because I have noticed a lot of things about the black people on my campus. As far as black people represented on campus I feel like if I don't do things that no one else will. For example this mentorship program, they told me not many black people applied to do it but at the same time if they had to shut it down for lack of interest the same black people who didn't involve themselves with it would get mad

words in dictionarys are just ink in books, the only meaning words really have is the context and intent behind them.

Cuz white people used (some still use it that way) that word in a negative context. Black people didnt use it to eachtother in a negative context. White people used it to degrade black people. So when a white person calls a black person nigger, it got a lot of history behind the word.
But on the other hand, rappers shouldnt be using the word nigga in their songs. If they keep on using it, its hard to keep someone else from saying it.
