There should be a legitimate world competition in Basketball featuring the best teams from all nations so the rest of the world can show that in their own way of playing the game they are catching up with the US and in some cases are able to tactically have the upper hand.

I've seen Rome vs Phoenix Suns live.
Rome is a good mid-level Italian team who played without an american star (big defection). Nobody was expecting them to win, but hey, they played at the same level and intehensity (and Phoenix had the best team possible on the floor for 4 quarters!!) and they lost by less than 10 points.
