Same. All Eyez on Me was a just plain nutty. Then he came with Seven Day Theory which was eriee, dark, and mind blowing.
-
Gotta be DEATH ROW no doubt

Nice thread

All The Above

I liked the "Thug Life"/"Me Against The World" era as much as the Death Row days.

Death Row / Makaveli Era
Too me, the most personal and lyrically talented Pac we witnessed.
-
i think there all great. cant really decide

#3 but he was getting back to #2 by the time Makaveli dropped. More emotional tracks, political, just raw emotion. Makaveli runs across the board of feelings. 1 minute is angry, the next ballin, the next religous, sad, happy, truthful and ends angry again. MATW was similar to that.

#1 or #2 equally.
Gotta be DEATH ROW no doubt
Of course, coming from the same white boy who thinks Ja Rule is better than Eminem or Busta.
-
ours feeling Pacs music from the early 90's to 1997, 'I Get Around', 'Dear Mama', to 'Check Out Time' an 'Hail Mary', thats the era of Pac that I was feeling, rest in peace to Pac an rest in peace to Big too you know, lets go

I dont really like pac on his deathrow era. He was tryin to hard to be a thug and all that. He had a good message to spread and it seemed like he lost that a little bit on deathrow. It was good to see him go back to his roots with 7 day theory. I like pac more as revolutionairy.

I gotta agree with ya there..."Me Against the World" was my favorite Pac album wich I believe was released in '94, so that'd put it right in that same era. I like his Death Row era too, but the "politically conscious, social crusader Pac" kinda changed into the "angry-he-got-shot-up-out-for-revenge-Pac."

2Pac was still growing as a rapper, so by the time he signed to Death Row hw was reaching/ed his peak. His anger was so vivid and intese on AEOM and TDK:SDT. Espically on the latter he had many of the quaility found on MATW. MATW was closer to the conouis side of hip hop, but his best songs musicaly were on his last 2 albums.

Ambitionz as a Ridah is the perfect example of 2Pac's intensity after signing to Death Row.
