well, as big a fan of nate as i am, there was no one more disappointed than i to push play and hear the worst album of the year unfold in my ear. boring hooks, unimaginitive songs. 2 or 3 good songs, tops. so dissappointing after all his incredible work on dre, snoop, warren, kurupt, etc. albums and most of the songs on his first album. oh well. these guys are all starting to find out that they need the D-R-E a lot more than they thought.

I think its tight. Nate has skills in what he does. He aint no rapper. He sings and he is one of the tightest singers out there for someone to say they are a big Nate Dogg fan and not like music and me is ridiculous. It is way tighter than his last shit. All these other mufuckahs like butch cassidy and kokane try to be like nate but that they can never be. Dont hate on Nate congradulate nigga.

His best songs are his solo, deep ones: "Backdoor," "Another Short Story" and "Music & Me."
-
personally i think nate's best solo performance ever is on "the hardest man in town" or "why" , peace.

well i'd have to say that nate disappointed me on tha album. i feel nate didn't put as much into the album as he could've. he should've had 17-20 tracks on the album, so that it would be complete. although the songs "your wife" and "music & me" are tyte.

:P
My views are like this
This album was too short,he could have done at least 2 or 3 more solo tracks.
He had too many guest appearances but I guess he wanted to appeal to the mainstream crowd(which is good to sell records)
Overall though this album was good but it definitely takes time to get use to it. It took me at least 5 listens to really get into it.
Though I must say that no single track really measures up to some on the tracks on G Funk Classics
Such as
These Days
Hardest Man In Town
Never Leave me Alone etc...

I agree... Nate kinda took a different route on this one... that's why i like Warren's new album so much... besides the one Dre... Warren stays true to his stuff... i love it too much
